some thoughts...
leipzig - i think celtic's 2nd goal was the best, the hounding and tenacity to win the ball in the top left area. it would have been bettered by the kuhn to maeda pass going in.
maeda and a few others need to be worked on, for slotting the ball home from 20yds out in fast counter attack mode [given there will be few oppos against much better sides' high % possession]
quite the turnaround from rodgers from a yr ago - out the league cup, 1pt from 4 cl games and trailing rangers in league [i think]
matt o riley, matt who? [sorry matt]
hopefully kuhn keeps up his form and if so, will stay for a few seasons, but should he choose to leave, celtic could maybe buy back jota from
do we know if ange, at any time has made a move for his former players? |
japan's loss has been celt's gain...
'Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has earned a Japan recall after more than a year in the international wilderness. Kyogo has been prolific since joining Celtic in 2021 but he has been used sparingly by Japan coach Hajime Moriyasu, who left him out of his squads for the 2022 World Cup and this year's Asian Cup. The 29-year-old joins Celtic team-mates Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate in the Japan squad for away World Cup qualifiers against Indonesia on November 15 and China four days later. Kyogo, who was linked with a move to Manchester City during the summer, has scored six goals in 15 games for the Scottish Premiership leaders this season. "I don't need to tell you that he has achieved a lot and is a big presence in Europe with Celtic, and this time I have chosen him," said Moriyasu. Moriyasu denied that Kyogo was a direct replacement for regular striker Ayase Ueda, who has been ruled out until 2025 after suffering a hamstring injury playing for his Dutch club Feyenoord last week. The coach said he wanted to utilise Kyogo's finishing prowess and workrate.' |
ok, its a long way off, but barring injuries and implosions and transfer window sales, villa v celtic is starting to look a bit tasty.

Barcelona are working on cancelling Alex Valle's loan with Celtic in January, although that would mean paying compensation, as they think the 19-year-old has impressed enough with the Scottish champions to suggest he could provide a solution to their troubles at left-back. (El Nacional) |
big congratulations this morning Celts.
Asagi (no position) |
What a result and performance, with share price back at what should be support I picked up 10k shares this morning as must be a seller around as offered at under £1.45.
Hatate finally showing in a big game just how good he is and what can you say about Kuhn. One victory against either Brugge or Young Boys at home should see a play-off position secured. |
@ross2758 54 minutes ago Kuhn ya believe it!? |

well done bhoys. i was looking at the table lastnight [position 22 i think] and was thinking if you can get a point, prob move up the table.
'In the absence of defensive lynchpin Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales and Auston Trusty stood up with towering displays at the heart of the defence. Those two were standouts in a tremendous collective effort.'
why don't we play 3 in central defence for big guns away games? maybe 5 at the back
[aston villa were top last night = a difficult tie away]
currently 21st and ahead of bayern and milan, on level points with psg 3 down 5 to go |
Option J - A Draw!
Lololololol! |
Champions League again tomorrow so its hiding behind the sofa time.
No doubt Brendan will play his usual 0-0-10 formation so we will obviously lose. The question is by how many? The options are:-
A - Celtic to lose by 9 or more goals B - Celtic to lose by 8 goals C - Celtic to lose by 7 goals D - Celtic to lose by 6 goals E - Celtic to lose by 5 goals F - Celtic to lose by 4 goals G - Celtic to lose by 3 goals H - Celtic to lose by 2 goals I - Celtic to lose by 1 goal
I think we may surprise some people and do better than expected so I'll go for option F. |
2pts dropped by celt and aber, 3 by rang. rang yet to play aber |
'Celtic left it late to come from behind against Ross County and bounce back from their Dortmund drubbing, while maintaining their 100% start to the Scottish Premiership season. Brendan Rodgers had asked for his players to “bounce back even higher” from their midweek Champions League dismantling. But Celtic barely got off the ground for the first 70 minutes, and were given a lesson by County on how to set up against a superior side. The hosts' resoluteness and discipline was gilded by Ronan Hale's first-half penalty.'
-- there's little point in going to the falkirk or ross dressing room post game, if you don't learn anything!

av beat bayern, celtic will have their work cut out in jan |
It's after mid-day and still no news that Rodgers has been sacked. What are they waiting on?
You’re an embarrassment to British football' Celtic destroyed by English shock jock Jason Cundy The Englishman put the boot into the Hoops after their Dortmund mauling in the Champions League hxxps://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/celtic-dortmund-cundy-embarrassment-33800549 |
So how come Sparta Prague can get a 1-1 draw at Stuttgart and we get demolished 7-1 by Dortmund.
This is one humiliation too many and IMO Rodgers should be sacked in the morning. He's had more than enough chances. |
back down to earth with a bump |
