Kasper coming to Celtic? |
i've been monitoring the grangemouth situation on/off over the last year
recently,
'SCOTLAND'S only oil refinery, which is set to close with the loss of hundreds of jobs, has posted record profits of more than £100 million, prompting renewed calls for action to save it. The Herald first reported that Petroineos Manufacturing Scotland Limited, which owns and operates the oil refinery at Grangemouth, posted pre-tax annual profits of £107.4m. The result was a huge turnaround from the £50.5m loss posted the year before and has led to calls for government intervention. ALBA Deputy Leader, Kenny MacAskill MP, whose party has been heading a one-man parliamentary campaign aimed at saving the Grangemouth refinery, said:
"North Sea oil is and has been pivotal to the UK economy. It's perverse that Scotland’s oil should be refined elsewhere and that Scotland's industrial base is trashed whilst the UK Treasury coins in the cash. "If Grangemouth is allowed to shut Scotland will be the only major oil producing nation without a refinery. It will put us alongside developing nations such as the Republic of Congo and Trinidad and Tobago both of whom produce less oil than Scotland. "The UK has made billions from North Sea oil. They’re providing hundreds of millions to Ineos to open a plant in Belgium and have funded foreign battery plants in England to a similar tune. It's time a modest sum was given to Grangemouth from all the billions taken from the North Sea to shore up Scotland’s economy." It was also revealed earlier this month that the UK Government has backed a Petroineos project in Belgium with around £600m, but has refused to step in on Grangemouth.' ' |
It's a US scare scam.
The US are the largest oil and gas producer in the world.
The UK imported 391,000 barrels a day in May from the US rather than drill and produce it in the North Sea and receive billions in tax. That makes zero sense.
Neither does letting Amazon, Netflix, Google, Airbnb plus dozens more US companies rip up UK companies whilst they pay no tax and kill the competition, I've given up caring but I will fight for the right for Scotland to maximise the North Sea until the US join climate change otherwise we might as well all go down together rather than being servants to the US. |
net zero is a huge wealth transfer scam |
so far ins/outs
In: None.
Out: Sead Haksabanovic, forward (Malmo, undisclosed); Joe Hart, goalkeeper (retired); Magnus Mackenzie, defender (Queen's Park); Benny-Jackson Luyeye, midfielder.
Loan ended: Adam Idah, forward (Norwich City); Paulo Bernardo, midfielder (Benfica). |
Gutted on share price after being so confident on them for over a year but was right move to sell as had we lost the 3-3 game at Ibrox "that Rangers won", I don't think we would have won the league and all hell would have broken out. I'm happy with my risk now in Harbour Energy, Ed Millaband can talk about moving to renewables all he wants but they'll soon look at tax take received on north sea oil and gas against cost of imports and relent causing a huge rerating in the sector. Without that BP or Shell will leave the London market this year.
Also think Serica energy in low £1.30's at moment is an outstanding investment. |
a nice jump for share holders |
a good read |
why buy and never use?

let's have some credit sent the way of the board for their successful transfer policy.
Remember the 'disaster' transfer window, all the moaning about bringing only Adam Idah in on loan from Norwich? He played a massive role in the title win.
Money saved in 2023/2024 can be put to use in this season's transfer window.
Board have played a blinder.

CCV as been a failure at every club he's been at but Celtic.

if you watch rangers goal, only dessers jumped, scales and ccv were both planted
conspiracy theory: celtic boys were told to not humiliate the opposition [2nd half], just do enough to get the job done |
incredible choke from Rangers. One of the biggest in Old Firm history. Were they ever favourites??
Congratulations again Celts.

Great result but should have buried them today, Like Asagi sold out as risk wasn't worth thinking about at one point but I'll take 3 in a row and just hope the money ploughed into Harbour Energy gives similar result to the team. |
listened to some rangers podcasts: celtic poor, rangers worse [starting to question manager's decision making] |
couldn't keep a clean sheet, nor could they score against ten men.
Another penalty missed. All poor management and performance.
Nevertheless, massive results to congratulations to the Celtic fans.
Yes, this neutral is pretty sick that he sold just as Rangers conspired to chuck it away.

'Celtic Park erupts on the final whistle. The hosts have nine of ten fingers on the trophy after going six points clear with six to play for. The champions had so many chances to stretch their lead in the second half, including a missed penalty, and it got a bit twitchy at the end as 10-man Rangers chucked men forward'
how many missed penalties this season? |
