Agree with your last posting saying licence renewal/s has a bigger impact on share price direction than if the sale completes or not
If licence renewal process demands big up front Social payments then maybe the sale needs to complete to free up cash to make the payments
I guess the current value of Airshagyl is dramatically different with a 25yr production licence...paying $?m upfront to secure something which is instantly worth say 10x more with the licence and also attractive to someone like Chevron or KMG who have the expertise for getting oil out of the ground |

Which US oil giants ? Chevron & Exxin in the elephant fields ie Tengiz, Kashagan, Karachaganak etc. not just US but Chinese, Russian and European interests. China have huge interests in Kaz and I'm sure they're going to sit on the sidelines with the US .If Russia had designs on taking the FSU and Baltic states, Caspian would be the last thing you need worry about ! |

We all know that Russia is now a Militarised Country and the economy cant survive without war. So some sort of war will carry on even with a Ukraine ceasefire. The mail has reported today it will probably be a seize of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan Oil fields. Where would that that leave us ??? Any ideas anyone. |

Perhaps we need to reconsider if we are getting best value from the BNG Shallows sale...if we are going back to international oil prices then the WHI 2022 valuation of $200m is a much better target exit price for CASP;-) |

I'm more concerned re the licence awards and will feel a lot happier when they're in the bag. Kaz is a corrupt society and a very small % of the population ie the elite families, own the majority of wealth. The deal can't drag on much longer without them highlighting the true position. What's stalling it ? Meanwhile Casper are earning interest whilst engaging in minimal operational activity so their financial position should be very healthy. West Shalva did needs to be announce too so we should see a detailed update by end month/early March. |
