I can't vouch for the accuracy of this (from another BB)....but it might explain the rise here?

Caspian Holdings Plc said its operating loss narrowed by 55 percent during the first half and said it expects a significantly more positive second half, with the prospect of production from its Irvine leases in Kentucky, good progress in Pine Meadows and the possible return to production and exports from Zhengeldy.

I can't think of any news worthy of the rise. Selling old bits of equipment in far flung parts of Kazakhstan for a few thousand quid is hardly inspiring and as for the US assets I can't find any information about them.

m1tu..I started buying here back in 2005..bought and sold a few in the following years at varying prices. The ones I have left are average 25p.

Used to be in CSH some years back and have just dipped my toe back in. My only concern is that years ago I bought another share, which suddenly took off but I didn't pay any attention to the fact that lots of purchases that were going through were fairly modest, whereas, the very few but, huge transactions were sells. Guess what? within 2 days share was suspended and never came back as the company went into liquadation.
Of course really am hoping that I won't get my fingers burnt again but note that there has already been 1 sell of 3.5 million. Let's hope there aren't many more.

hhh,

This is a bombed out oil company that got screwed by the authorities in Khazakstan and has a small USA operation and which trades on AIM..there's a 50/50 chance that this is a classic pump and dump operation....but I like those odds.....could be worth 10p or 0.5p next week.....it's a gamble on the back of high volume buying based on no news....yet
