Well selling really accelerated towards end of day, plenty of 25k sells which must be max per trade.

What a chart! Who'd have thought we'd get another run up like this? Maybe Wigwammer perhaps, but anyone else?

Amazing rise.

RSI a tad overbought though -- and a couple of 'gaps' on the chart ...but does it matter?

Intriguing to see a couple of insiders - a divisional CEO and an NED (via her spouse) - buying shares even after the recent rise per the RNS just out:

Not exactly huge amounts, but it certainly sends an interesting signal.

The current cash flows cover interest and pension charges, with any future excess falling into the laps of shareholders. Given this a growth industry and the margin recovery story is gaining momentum, that excess could be substantial... All of this was explained to the doubters at circa 10p - they didn't get it then and they won't get it now. But thanks for the cheap shares.. ATB

I have to disappoint you 'mes' holding 50,000 shares in my Sipp, I'll just be able to draw down the minimum before tax by the looks of it...depends on Labour, who like to tax those who have tried to be self sufficient..

I assume you are the red tick down merchant....

Pension liabilities are ball and chain dragging Carclo's profits down, they were too slow in closing final salary scheme, probably not in the then CEO's interest, I bet he is laughing now, coining it in while shareholders suffer..Such is life, always look after no1..

Only needs a big drop in Pension income that will kill off Carclo...IMO, with Labour in charge anything is possible...

HH

Maybe, but I can't remember the last time this business had a genuinely successful year, you've probably got to go back to the Gorilla Glass days.

That said if they can consistently turn over <£100m there's probably something worth saving.

Extra from final results shows improving picture re coach / margin. · Underlying operating profit from continuing operations was £6.6m (FY23: £5.9m). · Cash generated from operations was £15.6m (FY23: £7.8m). · Statutory operating profit from continuing operations was £1.8m (FY23: £1.2m). This was done from less revenue so a good picture from a cash perspective

They generate little free cash, but plenty of work streams in place to improve efficiency and margins. That is where the value is at going forwards and why I have invested. If they were producing a swathe of free cash then this share would be much higher with less opportunity to increase. It comes down to whether you believe they will do what they have planned = increase in share price or not.I don't disagree with you entirely but the aim of selecting individual shares for undervalue / underperforming with a potential reversal of that is why we are here. We both are looking at this in a similar way but I see value value going forwards. It's always a risk but this feels a reasonable one to take.

The problem remains that fundamentally because of the state of the balance sheet they don't generate any free cash flow.

Maybe take a slower look and take some time to see all the changes made and making. Then it's your money your choice.

I've just taken a quick look at these and I reckon CR has probably got this one wrong, I just can't see any point in buying the shares.

Agreed HH. It appears that at last CAR have management with a sensible strategy and a plan for growth.

Good to see a series of small buys this morning at steadily increasing prices, the latest being at 22.7p and 22.8p.

I bought more after the presentation. A slow burn and if they continue the steps to improve the business margins etc, I do see good steady (not fast) growth here. One to tuck away for 12 months
