09/3/2023 13:47 | Good on you SILVER....... I agree as a holder in CNE myself and it will be interesting to hear from them soon as to what they have found inside the offices of CNE. | anley
08/3/2023 22:03 | I SAID THE OLD BOARD OF DIRECTORS WERE WRONG TO PURSUE A MERGER WITH TLW BECAUSE CNE ARE MY TOP LONG TRADE AND TLW ARE MY TOP SHORT TRADE! | silverstone1
01/3/2023 23:32 | ANLEY, I'M A RETIRED STOCKBROKER AND ONLY TRADE LONG OR SHORT WITH GUARANTEED WINNERS, THEREFORE, CNE SHOULDN'T ACQUIRE DELT BECAUSE IT'S NOT A GUARANTEED WINNER! | silverstone1
01/3/2023 10:03 | Silver.........can you please explain the meaning? | anley
28/2/2023 23:17 | DELT IS A DOG WITH FLEAS! | silverstone1
28/2/2023 13:51 | THE STRATEGIC REVIEW SHOULD CONSIDER SELLING EVERYTHING AND RETURNING EVERY PENNY TO SHAREHOLDERS BECAUSE IT WOULD BE AT LEAST 40% ABOVE THE CURRENT SHARE PRICE! | silverstone1
27/2/2023 11:22 | TODAY'S UPDATE IS THE USUAL NEW MANAGEMENT KITCHEN SINK JOB, THEREFORE, THE NEXT UPDATE WILL BE BETTER THAN EXPECTED! | silverstone1
24/2/2023 08:22 | CNE OFFER AT LEAST 40% UPSIDE AND NO DOWNSIDE RISK IN 2023! | silverstone1
16/2/2023 11:28 | No big jump here. Cash in bank + possible extra payments from past sales + dodgy asset in Egypt. Them extra payments are not bankable. Woodside will shift first oil at Sangomar into 2024 so they don't have to pay. The dodgy asset in Egypt is worth less than what Simon Whatsaname and his cronies paid for it. Remaining management should be booted too and not with crazy big redundancy terms from shareholder funds. | hsfinch
15/2/2023 13:02 | Anley - where do you see March mentioned. A trading update shortly and results at the end of april (which normally come in march). No promise of when or which year we will see a return of capital or an end to the review. | controlledmadness
15/2/2023 12:13 | BUT the new gang have at least legally cancelled the NewMed deal and therefore there is no point in any shareholder turning up on 22 Feb. More news in March and update as to what is going on. | anley
15/2/2023 09:10 | I suppose the market needs some concrete evidence before there is any upward movement in the share price So many false dawns here recently. Suet | suetballs
15/2/2023 08:46 | I sold out my 10000 yesterday afternoon - mainly due to taking tax free lump sum from sipp - I had to decide what to sell to make the cash available and as I was in good profit and the excruciating wait for these to see true value I decided to give up on Cairn/Capricorn and take the lot. Good luck to holders - now that the inept incompetence pathetic management are ousted there may be some common sense injected into the BOD instead of the freeloading hoorah henries that have control just now. I still can’t believe my conversations with the CFO lady and she actually hadn’t got a clue even the order of magnitude of the fees for the tender debacle…… | adg
15/2/2023 08:41 | Lots of predictions about big jumps in value but the market does not seem to agree. It's been wallowing in the same area for months without getting near the values offered. Please explain why the market disagrees with all the talk of 300 or even 400+ that everyone here keeps talking about. Even Pallisers are not busy buying shares. | controlledmadness
13/2/2023 10:38 | My view is they have done the right thing by bringing 75% new board members in to run the company. Not sure this team will want a long haul and will hopefully now expedite a decent deal that makes us feel like we are getting fair value for the stock. I can see 290/320p in fairly short order. | finkie
08/2/2023 17:57 | Yes - guarded optimism. Suet | suetballs
08/2/2023 17:25 | and you came to a good conclusion????? | anley
08/2/2023 14:12 | Ok now done my research! Suet | suetballs
08/2/2023 12:03 | Good news over at Deltic on Pensacola this am. Suet - not totally sure how that will impact us? | suetballs
06/2/2023 16:58 | OK I will go along with 325p as I think the old board of CNE is best judged on value just before they were pushed off the "walk the plank". So what happens next? 1 Cash payment to shareholders 2 Decide to keep or sell Egypt 3 Wait for the cash to roll in from sold assets now oil is going up 4 Ponder over the Deltic licences once the Pensacola licence info is in and a value can be placed on the assets 5 PAY OFF ALL THE RECENT BILLS - millions involved so the interest on the cash will help to pay this And expect news in April............... | anley
03/2/2023 16:04 | PALLISER HAVE ALREADY ESTIMATED 350P PER SHARE, HOWEVER, MY ESTIMATION IS BETWEEN 360P AND 489P PER SHARE, DEPENDING ON CONTINGENCY PAYMENTS! | silverstone1
03/2/2023 13:30 | I am certainly a happy continuing holder and would hope our new board will act without conflict and secure the highest possible value for us. Suet | suetballs
03/2/2023 12:33 | WILLIE - thanks - just got my dates and thoughts mixed up. For Barclays to get something wrong is par for the course. Palliser have during their recent battle also calculated what CNE could be worth when broken up and its far higher than they think. I don't think for one moment that someone who ran and worked with Paul Singer of Elliot Management would buy into CNE at say 230p (look back at all the notices) to try and liquidate for 275p - that is not a return I would go for so look for 300p per share. It will be several months before we hear from the new board and in the meantime they will be collecting and paying the debits/credits before giving us just what they are going to do next. I am a shareholder in Deltic and they have 5 JV licences in the southern North Sea. One of them could be huge so hence a close interest. | anley
02/2/2023 09:58 | Barclays raises Capricorn Energy target to 275 (238) pence - 'equal weight' | willie99 |
