I spoke to Capricorns company secretary. She said the 200million share buy back program is a long term strategy, and would not be implemented soon.

There's still the 200m share buy back to come as well for the benefit of remaining shareholders.

If the tender offer doesn't use up all the $500m then the share price may rise if people are confident there will be a special dividend. If.

TRON22, THEORETICALLY THE SHARE PRICE SHOULD BE UNCHANGED, WITH 30% LESS ORDINARY SHARES IN ISSUE AND 30% LESS CASH ON THE BALANCE SHEET!

After the tender.... Do you think the share price will increase as there will be less shares on the market and they "should" be worth more? My break even is 2.40 after the last div & consolidation.. Will never do that again.

IN MY OPINION IT'S UNLIKELY THAT 30% OF THE ORDINARY SHARES WILL BE TENDERED, THEREFORE, IT'S LIKELY THAT THE STRIKE PRICE WILL BE VWAP + 5% OR DO OTHER SHAREHOLDERS HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION?

Don't understand your post at all Pendragon. Not sure what point you are trying to make.

of course nigel, I hope you're keeping a track of the potential tender price, which as a fan of the company you'll be delighted to discover has mopped up hundreds of millions of shares at a knock down price, rather than pay up a divi of $1 per share.

As things stand the tender price is not shifting upwards to match the increasing share price as well enter day 3 of the 5 day evaluation period. When the shorts pile in on Tuesday this could trash the share price and the tender value in a few hours.

You, Nigel, are I guess the sucker denying yourself an even break.

As Zang suggests, why not sell into strength over the next couple of days and buy back in if you like the company once the share price is back down below 200 later next week, or even lower when the weakness of their assets is revealed, or put your money elsewhere and make some profits.

What a surprise (not) that the share price is strong during the 5 day period where the strike price is calculated.
Such obvious manipulation - stinks
Am i too late to tender my shares?
I think remaining holders will end up being stung and left with the hangover having paid over the odds for the $500m of shares!

WILL A TAKEOVER OFFER ARRIVE AFTER THE TENDER OFFER CLOSING DATE?

This is the last day of trading before the measurements begin to determine the tender price, 5 trading days before and including April5, so for anyone expecting to sell via the tender will have an interest pushing the price higher.

Whether they will succeed will depend on the propensity of long term holders to keep the price temporarily down, or to bang in a massive volume of shorts as the tender deadline looms.

Interesting.

The stock is falling??? Someone make this make sense?

Even after the tinder offer closes I do not see anything pushing
the stock above 2.19 per share.

Hoping the after math of the tender is enough to push the value of the stock up???

Am I missing something here?

What are the implications for over 21% of cne shares being out on loan ?With private individuals only owning 10% of share count I guess we are at the mercy of manipulation ?

"selling on this board coincided with the recent lows"

I don't know what "selling on this board" means, but if you're saying that "selling coincided with the lows" - yes, it's simple cause and effect.

After the tender is executed there should be less shares on the market. For those who do not participate in the tender ...

Can we expect the remaining shares to go up in value? (There are less shares on the market).

Hoping to go north of 2.19 ....

resolutions passed. not much reaction, not surprising. If res. 1 had been defeated the share price might have gone up.

Because it's irrelevant - whether shareholders get the $500m back via executing the tender offer or a special dividend it's the same effect to all intents and purposes. It's curious how the lyrical waxing and selling on this board coincided with the recent lows - in the past I've been alerted to the fact that ADVFN board in general are followed by a few professional investors who go looking for stops and on the odd occasion set up users to post fear and irrationality. I've never believed it but the last couple of weeks have been strange.
