Well I made a big mistake exiting at 80p, but now I'm glad I did. How can they justify such a low priced placing, it's a frigging disgrace. Commiserations to those newcomers over the last two days that got sucked in by the meteorice share price rise.

Too many placing shares not enough open offer shares. More dilution which is killing any upside in these. Share price may respond accordingly today.

Im not a holder but been watching these the last few weeks:

This is a summary of what has been announced this morning:

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Capital & Regional PLC (CAL.LN) Thursday announces its intention to raise gross proceeds of GBP69.2 million by way of a placing of New Ordinary Shares in the Company.
MAIN FACTS:
-The Capital Raising is divided between:
-GBP23.5 million through a Firm Placing to Parkdev and related investors. Parkdev is a specialist property and asset management company based in South Africa
-Following the transaction, Parkdev's investment will result in a proforma shareholding in the enlarged Group of 25.4% of the enlarged issued share capital
-The Board would like to welcome the Parkdev investors as long-term supportive shareholders
-Price of 26.4 pence per share, a discount of 73.1% to the closing share price on August 19 of 98.0 pence, a 55.3% discount to 1 month VWAP of 59.1 pence per share and an 18.4% discount to the pro forma triple net asset value of 32.4 pence per share
-Issue of 89.0 million New Ordinary Shares
-GBP45.7 million through a fully underwritten Firm Placing and Placing and Open Offer to institutional investors and existing shareholders
-Split 25% under the Firm Placing to Firm Placees, and 75% through the Placing and Open Offer to Placees subject to clawback from existing shareholders
-Stapled unit of 1 Firm and 3 Placing and Open Offer shares
-Price of 24.0 pence per share, a discount of 75.5% to the share price of 98.0 pence on August 19, and a 59.4% discount to 1 month VWAP of 59.1 pence per share and a 25.8% discount to the pro forma triple net asset value of 32.4 pence per share
-Issue of 190.3 million New Ordinary Shares
-Existing shareholders will have the right to purchase 2 New Ordinary Shares for every share held in the Open Offer and existing shareholders will be given priority in allocation in the fully underwritten GBP45.7 million Firm Placing and Placing and Open Offer to investors.
-C&R also announces that it has renegotiated a number of its core credit facilities resulting in an increase in headroom under its core banking covenants, interconditional upon the Capital Raising.

Issue price of 24p is a gift. Don't fancy the SPs's chances short term though. Fully under written is also a massive plus and hence the low issue price. This will be interesting. You have to take up the offer to average down. Then up and away. Interesting times ahead.

You take it all with a pinch of salt. when all is done its you that makes the decisions ,not CR or anyone else. A vast majority of CR post contain disclaimers of some sort or other. I would say he goes out of his way to state the obvious ie: DYOR. Anyone who then turns round and says he was conned, mislead etc....really shouldn't be in this game at all.

And one more thing I will say. I have been on this site over six years and from day one have been absolutely staggered by the number of gullible fools on here. People who put all their savings in one company and doggedley hang on until it goes bust or the directors run off with the money. This site is full of what I term 'kamikazee investors' who line up to be shafted in one investment after another.

You can't tell people to stop highlighting companies or suggest tips becuase these people will self destruct whatever you say.

I think you are correct up to a point and you would be surprised at the identities of some of the individuals who have been involved in this practice. It is the lies, deception and hypocracy which separates these people from the majority here who are honest.

However, as far as the likes of CR and Rainmaker go I think they are honest, decent people who have highlighted some good stocks and recovery plays. No doubt some more inexperienced/gullible people will get sucked into one or two companies which don't work out but this is hard to avoid unless you close down the discussion on here. To become a successful investor and trader you have to learn from mistakes and develope your own strategy. I follow the tips by these people but when I buy, sell and at what price and at what time is totally my own decision and it is this that usually determines whether I am successful or not.

I am in STY since yesterday, I think there is a very good chance of 50% in the next couple of weeks, and possibly more. But then I'm biased! :-) So DYOR!

Hi Spec

Difficult to predict this. People may be getting carried away and results due out in a day or two I think and typically you see a retrace then. On the other hand look at QED, EROS etc and this rise may continue for sometime.

Believe it or not this was a paulypilot tip so thanks to him.

You may like to take a look at STY. Creeping up and I think I read somewhere that it is one of Rainmakers 99% stocks. (i,e stocks that are 1% of what they were a few years ago) Looks like a possible recovery play.

DYOR
