26/7/2021 11:32 | PDI are up another 6.7% overnight to A$0.16.... | rivaldo
24/7/2021 14:00 | btw does anyone know most of the clients of CAPD drilling rigs mostly operate 1, 2 or 3 shifts per day ? (for safety do they usually avoid working when there is no natural daylight ??) 5, 6 or 7 days per week ? (since the equipment of mining companies is costing money each day & they effectively pay interest every day on any loans perhaps they operate 7 days per week where it is allowed ?) | smithie6
23/7/2021 17:06 | On Twitter they have two brand new rigs on route to Mali, is this for Cora? | deanowls
23/7/2021 13:10 | >35km of drilling !!! & other recent news mentioned 2 million tonnes moved by CAPD under contract to 1 client surely going to report a notable jump in profit | smithie6
23/7/2021 07:42 | ....even better actually - just noticed that Cora are extending the drill programme from their original plans..... "We have now drilled over 27,000m in this programme and are now expecting to drill in excess of the originally planned 35,000m as we follow up some of the excellent results we have been receiving. We currently have two reverse circulation ('RC') rigs and a diamond rig at site drilling out the final metres of this campaign." | rivaldo
23/7/2021 07:23 | More good news from Cora today, and CAPD's rigs are busy: " Update on drill programme progress ● 243 holes drilled totalling over 27,212.4m from start of the campaign to 21 July 2021 ● The Capital Drilling Deep RC rig has been moved, following completion of the P2 deeper holes at Selin, to target follow-up on the high-grade intercepts reported at Zones A and C, and as part of the completion of the P2 resource consolidation process. ● The GEODRILL KL600 RC rig will complete the Selin shallow resource consolidation drilling and move south to assist the south prospects' finalisation. ● The Capital Diamond Drill ('DD') rig is moving south to complete geotechnical-metallu | rivaldo
22/7/2021 14:22 | Nice move up today - the Centamin news today was very encouraging, and alongside the large uplift in value of the PDI shares may be tempting more buyers in. Although frankly the ongoing boom in CAPD's core activities should be enough for most. | rivaldo
22/7/2021 13:29 | ah 'if' Capital moves 20 tonnes per truck that total of 2 million tonnes moved would be 100,000 movements loaded, & 100,000 return trips unloaded !! (if 40 tonnes per load then 1/2 the number of trips etc) that is a big operation imo surely some profit must be being made by Capital from doing all that work ----- some skill is needed when wording the contract to make sure that you yourself don't pay for new tyres or more truck wear & tear than you costed for because, as a example, the road surface is not as expected etc , Capital have been in the game for a long time so they should have that all covered. | smithie6
22/7/2021 10:24 | Centamin Con Call: "We've actually managed to move 7 million more tonnes than planned. And that actually delayed -- fantastically is 5 million tonnes more by our own fleet of Centamin and about 2 million tonnes by our contractor, Capital. And of that 7 million tonnes, about 1.5 million tonnes of that is actually low grade ore that has been converted from previously waste material." "As I mentioned, Capital as our waste contractor, they were able to start early and ramp up more quickly than planned, and they've delivered about 2 million tonnes ahead of their budget as well." We've continued our geology reset at Sukari. A lot of additional drilling, relogging of additional core, reinterpretation, and that remains on track for an updated MRE second half of the year, which will underpin our life of asset, which we're still looking to deliver to the market in Q4 of this year." | kaizenkid
22/7/2021 10:24 | Thanks hpcg - good point :) PDI share price @ 30.06.21 was just AUD 0.08 | gleach23
22/7/2021 10:21 | As the post period end movement is going to be quite significant, I think they might mention it, but it won't be in the reported numbers until H2 | otemple3
22/7/2021 10:02 | Brought back to 77p last night for support levels on the chart. I am hoping we can take the previous high out on this next run. Added 30000 yesterday at 78.3 | basem1
22/7/2021 09:56 | gleach23 - the H1 valuation line will see an uplift in the PDI holding but will be nothing like representing the spot value. | hpcg
22/7/2021 09:01 | PDI share price is now 2.5x the 0.06 share price @ 31.12.20. Assuming a 141m shareholding I make that worth over £11m or just under 8% of CAPD's market cap alone. What an inspired investment strategy this has been for CAPD. Portfolio valuations - 31.12.19 $12.5m 30.06.20 $23.2m 31.12.20 $27.2m (investment gains to date of $13.6m, $13.2m of which unrealised) 30.06.21 ? Looking forward to the updated valuation in the interims on 19th Aug | gleach23
22/7/2021 08:51 | "Centamin has delivered another solid operational performance and we remain on track to meet full year cost and production guidance. During the quarter, excellent progress was made with the Sukari waste-stripping programme which has significantly outperformed budget and resulted in record material mined. This is testament to our team at Sukari delivering improvements in operating efficiencies and further supported by the quick mobilisation and ramp up of the waste-stripping contractor." ... "Better than budgeted Group free cash flow of US$6.9 million reflected stronger gold price and lower capital expenditure ("capex"), offset by accelerated open waste-stripping programme and increased exploration activities" ... "Record total open pit waste material mined for the quarter was 22.6Mt (H1: 41.4Mt), a 20% increase QoQ, driven by operational outperformance in the open pit waste-stripping programme, which has ramped up ahead of schedule. The strip ratio for the quarter was 7.4:1 (waste:ore) (H1: 6.1:1)." | shanklin
22/7/2021 08:29 | Encouraging interview in post 1274 above, cheers. I particularly like the CEO's closing comments about commodity prices and capital markets activity being at "decade-highs", so it's natural that resulting demand for drilling services for "this half, that has started to come through".....note the "started".... Lots of new contract wins with the likes of Resolute, Shanta, Arrow Minerals etc in a "fantastic" H1 for the company: Thanks kaizenkid - PDI now up to $A0.15 then.... | rivaldo

21/7/2021 15:38 | Did anyone pick up the implication that tendering activity is slowing? Q2 update “tending activity remains robust” but in the Q1 update tendering activity was “highly active” the wording concerns me a little as it feels counter intuitive that the tendering pipeline is slowing given the macro tailwinds. I have always disliked the phrase “robust” in isolation but the change in language from Q1 could explain the market reaction? | rimau1
21/7/2021 09:26 | Unfortunately the sound quality is not great. | shanklin
20/7/2021 09:40 | nothing like doing the exploration drilling (& phps also the evaluation of the samples !!) to know whether or not to buy the shares !! je je :-)) | smithie6
19/7/2021 13:31 | Them adding to PDI & it going up 42% means the whole listed & unlisted portfolio must be approaching $40m, which is close to 20% of the market cap at the moment. Buying in the placing at AUD8c and the market at AUD7.5c recently is looking a very good move. And also cements their relationship with PDI further, since, given those grades, I would fully expect the next stage of drilling to be quite extensive :-) | dangersimpson2
