26/5/2021 08:23 | The next various FTSE index reviews will be announced on Wednesday 2 June 2021. At present it's looking good for CAPD for promotion to the FTSE Small Cap Index (from the FTSE Fledgling)...... Fingers crossed - this would provide a decent boost from tracker funds etc. | rivaldo
25/5/2021 11:50 | This is symptomatic of the increased demand for Gold and Precious Metals - | davebowler
25/5/2021 11:39 | twitter post from Cap. drill 6 hours ago (copied from someone's post on another website) "strongest demand for drilling in a decade" "The strengthening gold price has driven significant growth in activity focussed on Africa, particularly West Africa, including M&A & equity raisings. The region is a strategic focus for us & we are experiencing the strongest demand for drilling in a decade" | smithie6
24/5/2021 12:55 | oops/thanks it was in a bullet point, I managed not to see it ! ------ lots of test drilling & measurement of gold per tonne Does anyone know if CAPD are involved in evaluating the drilling samples for Cora ? it looks like a lot of work needed (recalling that CAPD do that work as well & have increased their capabilities & turnover in it) | smithie6
24/5/2021 09:50 | Smithie from the same rns ● Capital Drilling's diamond core rig has started a 2,000-metre geotechnical programme | deanowls
24/5/2021 09:21 | Not mentioned in the RNS but it does say "largest ever drilling campaign" & I assume that Rivaldo has dug thru this info or older info & knows that Cora are using Capital Drill, so, "largest ever drilling campaign" is good news for CAPD, but it is just one client, the important thing is that drilling sector is busy overall & % of CAPD rigs in use has jumped & looks set to stay high & surely to increase. "Cora Gold Limited, the West African focused gold company, is pleased to announce the third set of drill results from its largest ever drilling campaign, which commenced in March 2021, at its Sanankoro Gold Project ('Sanankoro' or 'the Project') southern Mali. " | smithie6
24/5/2021 08:43 | Smithie You could search the RNS for "capital" | shanklin
24/5/2021 08:10 | they use CAPD then ? | smithie6
24/5/2021 07:35 | Looks like good drilling results from Cora Gold this morning - and most importantly for CAPD: "We have now completed over 13,000m of drilling in this programme and have recently commenced geotechnical drilling with a diamond drill rig. A second RC rig will be mobilising to site in the coming weeks." | rivaldo
21/5/2021 09:50 | CAPD did explo drilling at Karoussa late last year, although I think they aren't currently active with them due to a lack of available rigs. They have a long-term minesite contract at Yanfolila, mainly doing delineation drilling. I'd expect a high chance of winning similar at Karoussa once that mine construction has got to that stage. There is also the off-chance of this being a Load & Haul opportunity. Given the 18 months or so construction time then that would be the sort of time frame when the CAPD balance sheet would likely be back to net cash, and I'd expect Sukari to be largely running itself at that point freeing management time, so they could easily support another large L&H contract. | dangersimpson2
21/5/2021 08:18 | CAPD noted a while ago that it had won an exploration drilling contract from Hummingbird Resources at its newly acquired Kouroussa Gold Project in Guinea. Hummingbird have now announced they've been granted the mining licences for the project for a 15 year term, and will update on plans for it in the "near future": | rivaldo
20/5/2021 22:40 | Nice - new multi-year highs and a further tick up just before the close, which hopefully bodes well. Re-ratings can be extremely quick once they get started. | rivaldo
20/5/2021 16:39 | I will laugh if he buys at 100p, just when many of those that bought at 70p are selling or to slicing !! je je (a breakout buyer should have bought at 70-75p imo) ----- I seem to have been a leapfrog trader these last 15 months. Almost doubled since February '20, without gearing, I'm happy enough, just need 6% more on current portfolio total to get to x2. (could have done better, eg. I considered buying in to some high risk recovery stocks which went x4-x6 in 2020 but didn't, ah well, but almost x2 overall is very good I reckon, my best year for ages :-) ). | smithie6
20/5/2021 14:02 | Smoothie - he trades breakouts, hence he awaits particular buying signals. | lord gnome
20/5/2021 10:46 | Plenty of money raised for gold exploration: | hpcg
20/5/2021 10:30 | I like Mike Taylor's column, very good practical trading advice with examples. It is good exposure. | hpcg
20/5/2021 10:23 | "One stock that I have been waiting for and is now slowly coming into the target entry zone is Capital Limited (CAPD" entry zone ?? if the tipster had been waiting for it then surely the time to buy was either at 70p while it was cheap or last week in the 70-75p range or is the tipster going to wait to see if the price hits a target entry zone of 90p before he buys ??!! | smithie6
20/5/2021 10:23 | I met Mike a few years back at a Mello event. In those days he was posting as his alter ego ‘vilage idiot’. Clearly a very bright young man. He has garnered a large following, me included. With the share price having broken out, the momentum brigade should be along shortly to help boost the price even higher. I think that £1 is pretty much nailed on. | lord gnome
20/5/2021 10:17 | Nice move up to new multi-year highs.... Which may be at least partly due to CAPD being mentioned as an Investment Indea in the IC (perhaps in this Friday's print edition then?): "Capital Limited: approaching the entry zone One stock that I have been waiting for and is now slowly coming into the target entry zone is Capital Limited (CAPD), which is the old Capital Drilling.... .....I’ve been waiting for this and think that if the stock can break out then momentum traders will jump on board and start a new trend. The prices of many commodities are rising, which means more projects are economic, meaning more potential business. That does come with the flip side though – that if commodity prices fall then Capital will be vulnerable. There has been a raft of post-year end contracts announced, and big institutional buying." EDIT - mighunter, you beat me to it..... | rivaldo
20/5/2021 10:16 | strange how the share price sat at 70p for weeks & then whoosh ! | smithie6
20/5/2021 10:15 | (qs99 'overweight, as in life' maybe have a think about that, since it is supposed to reduce expectancy etc. & being overweight increases the risk of severe problems if catch Covid I've got a bit to lose but not much, 8lbs) | smithie6
20/5/2021 10:15 | Gaining exposure, Capital mentioned as Michael Taylor's potential trade in Investors Chronicle:HTtps://ww | mighunter
20/5/2021 10:15 | QS99 I think it was 'bewilderingly undervalued':-) | smartmoney100
20/5/2021 10:11 | nice to see the price rise today up after the notable rise last week symm !! je je | smithie6
20/5/2021 10:11 | Not sure why it should pause until it is north of £1? AS said before, not sure i have seen brokers use words as significantly undervalued or whatever the phrase was, very much as they look very silly if the price goes nowhere or south! DYOR and happy to have an overweight stance here (as well in life haha) Cheers QS99 | qs99 |
