trt - personally I would hold off for a short while and let the shorters have their way. I think this IS going to drop more and then when it turns take the ride. It should snap back quite considerably. ;)

The fundamentals can not be disputed.

With record Interims and full year profits likely to exceed market expectations with increased dividends and special dividends coming thick and fast buying on the dips makes total sense.
The Congestion charge only amounted to a small loss of £10m in profit anyway and only from 2009. The directors ahve already said new contracts will easily replace that profit. Current contracts in the pipeline amount to £3.2bn.
Capita is highly cash generative with a strong profit forecast for the coming years with a decent PEG ratio to match.

I will continue to buy as I have been doing recently - just watch the markets turn when the FED cuts rates again.

trt - I am not trying to deramp this share. I have a small long term holding which I can not access until this time next year. If this share has recoverd by then I will be most pleased but anybody can see from the chart that there is currently no support at all.

There was a major contract loss and a major contract win however Capita has been synonymous with the congestion charge for a long time now and I wonder if people have lost track of who Capita are and what they do. Did they ever even know the first place. Congestion Charging was a very small part of Capita and yet one if its most contraversial contracts (so contraversial it was the cause of the letter bomb).

Capita goes way beyond that and people seem to forget.

Certainly those that follow charts alone do not realise what Capita is about.

In my opinion Capita is a successful company because it is like the most successful species of creature on this planet. The Insect. Not one single creature, but a colony, working in harmony in many diverse areas spreading the risk and bringing home profits and growth, year after year.

The chart says something different - the chart shows that the majority of investors are like sheep, small fluffy and stupid creatures.

They are the ones that will ultimately be slaughtered.

Anyway - good luck to all, long and short, we all have to make a living ;)

Nice try guys - don't get caught out when the trading statement comes or when the markets surge higher on another US FED rate cut due soon.
Not only am I adding to my holding here on any weakness but I am in other stocks too.

Fundamentals sound here. If a stock is being shorted there's beggar all one can do, except maybe join in, chart certainly does look nasty.

Every year since 2003 they have issued their pre-close trading statement in the 2nd or 3rd week of December. Can't see why 2007 should be any different.

Broker Charles Stanley has just put out a note advising clients to
" Accumulate".

I wonder, do they know something we don't with regards to the timing of the trading statement - could it now be next week ??
