21/2/2017 08:56 | Waiting game. Traders are waiting to see which way it goes. Investors are staring at it and reading the recent RNSs over and over. | bakunin
21/2/2017 08:35 | Paddyfool You may well be right. But the market is one big psychological game. A beaten-down company's share price will often begin to rise while the last remaining bad news trickles out. With results due in a few days, this is obviously an attempt to get a base built in the share price. Interesting to see how the psychology works out. After all, it is still a company with £500m+ PBT and a market cap of £3.3bn. And it is in a secular growth sector once it gets its house sorted out. | bakunin
21/2/2017 08:29 | LOL! No but I have seen this movie before! | paddyfool
21/2/2017 08:17 | Paddy - do you own horses? | eisler
21/2/2017 07:28 | Well the CEO may well be for the chop. Performance is poor and the old trick of inorganic growth cannot be applied. This set of accounting adjustments sounds and looks like an attempted exercise to demonstrate that the stables have been cleaned. My sense is that there is more to come. Whilst the existing management are in place they cannot clean the stables as they made the mess in them, and to clean them honestly would result in them getting the chop. So I think there is yet more bad news to come. If it does there will be changes at the top and this time the stable will be cleaned and the results will take a serious beating. | paddyfool

15/2/2017 16:19 | M, RR. is one of the few cases where I was ahead of the curve, as you might remember from my posts, I'm usually country mile behind!. Questor was on the money with CPI, not sure how often that can be said. | essentialinvestor
15/2/2017 16:11 | Essential Exactly. I am not worried about missing some upside. I was reviewing my Rolls-Royce trades over the last 3 years and that reminded me of just how long it takes companies to sort out issues after profit warnings where some of the problems are self-made. It played on my mind for a while and so I sold. Companies that may be looking to outsource will now, surely, be holding back as funds/change maybe needed elsewhere including shifting business to Ireland or the continent. | minerve
15/2/2017 16:06 | Shore issued a Sell note, apologies if already mentioned. | essentialinvestor
15/2/2017 16:05 | Looking forward to seeing it tank past recent lows, will be sharp and fast when the weak support fails. | sux_2bu
15/2/2017 16:04 | M, it's a difficult call, would think waiting for results safer, if they are considerably above expectations then you miss some upside, not brave enough to buy any atm. | essentialinvestor
15/2/2017 16:00 | Here is a secret. I am losing nothing here because I ditched ALL my holding in CPI late yesterday. | minerve |
