08/12/2016 14:13 | And that's why they took 83% ownership Mr K, didn't want a diluted stake as they do with Liza! All very valuable indicators from the biggest oiler | adthorn
08/12/2016 14:05 | Guys, Exxon brought drilling of the Mesurado 1 well forward.... Exxon's Liza discovery off the Guyana coast, originally shared the same geology & oil kitchen prior to the African rift 120m years ago. That is why they are here!! Mr K. | mrkeysersoze
08/12/2016 14:05 | The chance of success was based on early information, circa 2011/2012 I.e. before the FWI work. The additional analysis that copl and Exxon have conducted since the Ebola breakout has massively improved the chances. Those are the words of the old CFO Chris McLean and more recently Arthur Millholland himself. I'm working on the basis of a 40-50% range | adthorn
08/12/2016 14:03 | I think Edison are very good - companies pay them to do a note so the information comes straight from the company. Of course they interpret and put values to this which like anything is subjective. Like most Exxon is the key here - otherwise I would probably steer clear. | hearts1
08/12/2016 14:00 | Exxon didn't get where they are today throwing $100m's dollars at wildcat exploration wells whilst keeping very high WI in low oil price environment. There most senior internal risk managers must like what they have seen here... | blueblood
08/12/2016 13:58 | Thanks hearts for a moments i thought you had stumbled on Exxons prediction !! WJ. | w1ndjammer
08/12/2016 13:48 | 1 in 5 is pretty standard for a drill on a new area with known discoveries in the region. Exxon may feel their considerable expertise and experience increases the odds of that a bit however. | tinker10
08/12/2016 13:47 | The chance of success at successful wells has been low also. Exxon were given the chance last year to walk away with a small penalty. They did not. Speaks volumes. | ayesha4
08/12/2016 13:40 | For goodness sake hearts1 is just telling it as he sees it. He is invested and the points he has made seem well supported. Clearly not deramping just stating how he sees it. He is invested so from my point of view thanks for the info. I am still invested and happy to wait. I do not believe that Exxon would have been a part of this if they did not feel there was a good chance of commercial success. As someone said that seemed low at 19.5% but hasnt stopped them from proceeding. I AM IN!!!! Time will tell if I have picked a dog Rosseau Asset management are also confident so that is also good enough for me. | billthebank
08/12/2016 13:21 | After my 10th Birthday i gave up the Beano & Edison Research notes | mr hangman
08/12/2016 13:20 | Oh dear hearts is in ,he follows me everywhere ,get your tin hats on !! :) | ccr1958
08/12/2016 13:14 | WJ, Edison - who I am sure you are aware are paid by Copl to publish the note, they are usually spot on with their information. | hearts1 |
