According to Marinetraffic.com, the West Saturn is expected in to Abidjan this evening at 20.16, which seems very precise. How reliable that information is I have no idea.

All the available information suggests we are drilling some time in Q4 2016, so November or December. I guess there's a good chance it will be November but, hey, I can wait a couple of weeks. Don't sweat fella.

I wanted to add more this morning actually, but the price wasn't down long enough. However, I may well get another chance later in the day or Monday.

No sweat.

All on track to spud Q4 and possibly in the next few weeks!!

"The well to be drilled under the Second Exploration Phase, Mesurado-1, is planned to spud in the fourth quarter of 2016. Recent communications with ExxonMobil has confirmed that the latest market guidance (cited above) of the drilling of the Mesurado-1 well is consistent with upcoming drilling plans by ExxonMobil, the operator.

Historical Oil DiscoveriesNarnia-1 well African Petroleum.Eyes on the prize.About 21m net pay of good quality 37° API oil was found in Turonian-aged rocks, part of a submarine fan system and shows were encountered over a total of 170m of this interval, with no oil water contact being found. The well also discovered 11m net pay of 44° API oil in the Albian, near to a very large Albian submarine fan prospect. In addition, over 200m of good quality thick sands were found in the shallower Campanian, Santonian and Coniacian horizons, which, although water-bearing, proved the presence of a good reservoir at this interval. This de-risks a number of other leads in the area, which, unlike the Narina prospect, have evidence of traps at this level.Australia-based oil and gas company African Petroleum announced that it has found oil at the Bee Eater-l well, in multiple zones of LB - 09 blocks, offshore of Liberia. As per the company's pre-drill expectations, the well has encountered 48m of Narina equivalent oil, bearing Turonian sandstone out of a 135m oil interval. The well was drilled to a total depth of 4,100m at a water depth of 1,067m, according to the company.Bee Eater-l was designed to test the Turonian fan, located 9.5km west of the original Narina-1 oil discovery. It was also designed to target the potential of two deeper prospective zones in the Cenomanian and Albian, located under the Turonian, alongside targeting crestal pinch out edge of the Egret Cenomanian fan prospect, which extends across 60km².African Petroleum is currently conducting further analysis, as reservoir permeabilities over the hydrocarbon bearing section of the well were lower than expected.

Richard -- you are correct. What does surprise me is why can't one track a rig ?

Asked the Q/ with a m8 of mine. This was his reply ----------->

''If a rig was repositioning from Brazil for instance, you wouldn't see it until on the doorstep, if at all ''

Work that out P/Ls. ! If correct spud date is ??

Why do you think they would have to rns a rig contract? Quite simply they wouldn't. There is only a need to rns when the well is spudded, which it isn't yet - hence no rns. Yet.
