The major ISA providers, although not all (banks especially), are well set-up to reclaim US WHT - but NOT virtually any other country.

If you want to get the WHT you normally have to do it yourself, which is not easy. First, ignoring any of that particular countries specific requirements, you have to prove you own the shares and you have suffered the relevant tax. Due to the use of nominee accounts many ISA providers are not willing willing to help you with that.

Yes, I deal mainly within an ISA provided by CS. In the past I've had no issues reclaiming US withholding tax but Cairn seems more tricky, my contact was supposed to call me back 10 days ago and didn't, he's been on holiday for a week so I'll be calling him back this week to get some info hopefully.

On non-ISA holdings I have reclaimed overseas withholding tax through my Tax Return. I assume on ISA holdings it is lost to the system - any views anyone!

Divi was paid in to my account this afternoon, although it seems about 24% less than expected. I assume there is some dividend witholding tax applied like my American holdings and can try to reclaim this through my broker?

TT2; Thanks for the ZULU Screen update, has a good track record over the years, but depressing few share selections. (I have held JNEO for a while, and it’s done well so far).

Yep, great recent update and looks very good for 2024 imo. Did pick up from Stocko over the weekend that the number of long screens CRN qualifies for, as jumped recently from 1 screen to 6. This includes the Jim Slater ZULU principle screen. Perhaps more Stocko users will be picking up on this now.With positive relative strength and increased recent volumes, I am hoping this can push on further. Good luck with your investment here.
