I don't know if stock market and minorities understand and agree about this kind of operation.

13.385.000 euro = 15.245.500 USD (today's exchange rate Eu = 1,139 Usd)...

Assuming Cadogan Petroleum's cash 40.000.000 Usd at 31 december 2018, Cadogan's management used 38,12% of the cash for this operation.

Imho, the right 'target' is a different type of operation.

The company is breathing, but how sad that the parrot is dead.

I actually emailed [e-mail] about the parrot which made an appearance half way down the first one, but they haven't replied.

Geez, I had to draw a plan with arrows to try to work that out. I wonder where it will go. I'd rather they spent some more on drilling, or if not, then acquiring a company that does. But at least from the odd RNS, we know they are still breathing as none of them is a spring chook

Maybe the market just thinks it's a lifestyle company, rather than one that is fired up to make money for shareholders.

Cant buy any of these at the mom no offer, they are sat on a bunch of cash, there are loads of nice safe high irr projects floating around they have a super cheap team to evaluate them and when they spend the cash if they are smart they should at least trade up to nav !

For me, there are good news from Cadogan Petroleum announcement.

E&P business unit reached $4,8 million of revenues in the 2018;
E&P bu 2H2018 revenues growth 24,50% than 1H2018;
Drilling activities is ongoing on the monastyretska license for Blazh-10 well - second well in the last 4 months;
Exit from shale gas project and marginal gas assets (low upside potential and low margin assets) - closing of the transaction on time;
maybe new flow tests/re-test of the Vovche-2 well to achieve pilot production in the Bitlyanska license;
Lastly, Michelotti's Words 'Cadogan can look with confidence to a future as a profitable operator with a positive operating cash-flow'...

targa - with AST there's a big question mark looking backwards as well ;-) Something very dodgy in the country of Illyria.

Moreover, CAD likes the sleepy life, and they'd certainly inherit a rabid bunch of angry shareholders if they took on AST.

Today's move seems eminently sensible. Let's hope it's part of a bigger plan for investment elsewhere, and growth. Italy would be OK, but everything takes forever to happen there. PVE/UOG found gas early this year, it can be connected up with a new 1.5km pipeline, but it looks like being into 2020 before it will happen.

Seems reasonable, more cash ! Keep building the cash pile and find a 50pct irr project in the much safer po valley to spend it on, while maintaining a super cheap research and services team in the super cheap Ukraine ...
