I'd be very surprised if there is any drilling in the summer as most if not all activity in the rainbow area has to wait for the freeze in early November. Little concerned that the company would try to mislead when activity would be happening.

I have emailed Cabot Energy and asked whether the 2019 Summer Drilling programme is to go ahead and either be finance by debt or equity funding. I interpret the "work programme" to include the 2019 drilling programme.

Yesterday's RNS confirms that the Cabot Energy 2019 Planned drilling programme will go ahead, it will either be debt or equity financed.

"Discussions are progressing and the Company reasonably expects to finalise an agreement in Q3 2019. While the Board remains confident that these financing discussions will result in a successful outcome for the Group, no new commitments have yet been secured.

Further to the Subscription, H2P has indicated that, pending the conclusion and terms of the ongoing Canada asset-level debt finance discussions, it will consider providing additional equity funding, if needed, to support the Company's operational activities and work programme through to the end of 2019, alongside other shareholders".

This is new....."the Board remains confident that these financing discussions will result in a successful outcome for the group,...."

I'm not ready to write my CAB investment off just yet.

Positive terminology otherwise known as spin. They needed the offer to cover outstanding third party debts no doubt. Oldest trick in the book, get other peoples money to pay debt down then clean up afterwards.

If H2P wanted to take Cabot over on the cheap, why did they not do this in Q1 2019 when they launched the "deeply discounted open offer"? Why did they allow Mr. E Krafft to buy 5.30% of CAB & Eastern Oilfield Services to buy 4.50% of CAB? H2P could have taken their share of CAB to over 70% in March 2019.

I'm not confident but I am intrigued, Scott Aitken has been using very positive terminology in the recent RNS's concerning asset quality etc & how the new Management team have sorted historical problems out.

I have only been invested since December 2018, so it is good to hear the opinions of other CAB shareholders.

Just take into account the political situation in Canada regarding the hydrocarbon industries before you get too confident. It's been suspected they'd take the company on the cheap for some time now and it is looking more and more that way. If they have that much confidence tell us what they plan to drill and what the prospects of recovery are.

The reefs are well known for having short life spans if you pull on them too hard. If you're going to be happy with 5 to 10 barrels a day per well like the avingtons of this world then crack on.

H2P could have done that earlier this year but they persuaded the likes of City Financial Investment (now Garraway Capital Management) & other large shareholders to buy new shares in the Open Offer. I would have thought that the largest shareholders would have sought assurances that H2P were not going to take CAB over on the cheap....I may of course be wrong.

We await news on how the Debt discussions are progressing.

No, H2P isn't going to let CAB go under. What H2P appears to be doing is hoovering the company up on the cheap.

I suspect we have just seen the last AGM of the CAB and I predict by next year that CAB will have been delisted.

At the AGM, the Chairman said that no formal decision has been taken about delisting CAB, but my take was that delisting is really what they want to do.

Is High Power Petroleum going to let CAB go under? They've just put more capital in to the company. I recall reading in a recent RNS H2P they were prepared to extend more funding IF the Debt negotiations were progressing satisfactorily.

High Power Petroleum has subscribed for 4,336,466 new shares @ 9.25p, good to see
GBP 401,123 of cash being put in to Cabot. A Specialist Advisory firm is still trying to secure funding for a late summer drilling campaign.
