Something very interesting in play, on radar.


From AR2022 "During November 2020 £15.0 million (before expenses) was raised via a placing of 99,169,286 ordinary shares and an open offer for 7,973,572 ordinary shares at 14 pence each. In addition, 99,169,286 warrants were issued over ordinary shares, exercisable at 28p per share with an exercise period of 5 years."

Clearly an easy short from 2022 @ 45p

Stock is tight, Richard Griffiths 22.07%, Polar Capital 17.84%, Lombard Odier 17.29 (have been increasing), Baillie Gifford 8.52%, Canaccord Genuity Wealth Mgt 4.54%, Calculus Capital 3.63%, Herald Investment Mgt 2.67

76.56% accounted for, guess small float leads to distorted share price.

Someone ready/building to make an offer ?

I doubt there’s anything wrong with the science judging by the deals with big pharma. Lumpy revenue due to unpredictable milestone timelines. Could be an all time low today.

So little stock trading! Small volumes move price down a lot. They need to do some IR.Nothing wrong with fundamentals, full of cash and good prospects. This one is a patience game!

It probably needs to be viewed in context and with realistic expectations. It probably is a good deal for shareholders if it eliminates entirely (which is should) the spector of another dilutive fund raise. We're not in an ideal world currently and biotech funding isn't flavour of the month. Just calculate the dilution of future profits on ALL assets in the portfolio if they'd raised the same money at 15p (which in the current market is about what we could realistically expect). INDV-2000 may have been a case of "taking one for the team" and in context may have created more substantial shareholder value than it sacrifices if you acknowlege that other non-dilutive funding options weren't available.

It provides funds to progress other programmes (notably Alpha4Beta7) further before partnering. If the deal on Alpha4Beta7 is better as a result, it may prove a masterstroke. We can look at Morphic's share price for reference and reflect on the fact that C4X's asset looks to be vastly superior.

I don't know whether to be excited by the amount they received - seems paltry compared with the possible long term income they would have received. But v material in the context of a Co. with a mcap of £50m.
