Tristel have just released (by rns) the Q&A from their shareholder day. Worth reading the answers to the section on byotrol questions to see how they view the prospects and timing for Tristel8 and the Cache products.

This comment struck me as encouraging:

"The exclusive arrangement with Byotrol is restricted to the UK and Ireland. We are hopeful that we will be able to present these combinatorial Cache/Byotrol products to other markets by mutual agreement with our partner."

1gw,

"Are the key traders, fund managers and other relevant decision makers away as they might usually be? "

Not really. The TU was AS EXPECTED...

Can't be a real surprise to anyone but 1gw, perhaps, but nice to see it confirmed in an rns..

Is it August? Are the key traders, fund managers and other relevant decision makers away as they might usually be? I was hoping for a better reaction to that TU, but I guess someone must be selling into whatever strength there is at this level.

That makes sense but I don`t do it as at some point someone will just absorb BYOT and meanwhile they are in expansion mode so there will be lots of good news along the way.

If it's predictable why not sell and buy them back lower?

Fair enough STT. I'm happy to be long; you're happy to be short. I'm looking forward. You're dredging up the past.

Directors hold 26M shares c 6%. They are aligned to s/holders views and will be acting in our interests. The share price this year suggests that not many see the company performance as disappointing.

"In the whole of last year, revenues were c £6.0m"

Yes and that £6m revenue was with multi country, multi million pound deals, which they signed after the last spike following Swine Flu a decade ago..

eg. Rentokil Initial..
MULTI Country, Multi Million Pound deal - What happened???

The deal promises to be a multi-million pound contract for the anti-microbial products developer

Melody,

"And sadly it seems COVID is not going away any time soon."

Look at their figures for fy2020 (results due Sept) and compare to the forecasts for fy2021.

During the worst pandemic to hit the world, they should be making significantly higher revenues and profits.... The fact they are only making around £1m a month (actual sales), during the early stages when a spike in sales was expected, is disappointing..

You compare that to the companies selling alcohol based sanitiser... their sales have increased significantly...

Eventually Covid will be defeated.. so sales will drop off again to normal levels...

With the structural changes in the industry that have occurred, im increasingly of the view this will be a strategic asset.

STT - but you could short loads of other companies where the question would be by how much sales are going to fall through the floor rather than how much sales will increase by.

And sadly it seems COVID is not going away any time soon. And even when it does, the world is so scared they will continue to disinfect everything more frequently in any case.

EC,

Thanks... So not much increase in the company forecast.. The company is reliant on Covid...

TLY has a similar mcap yet

pay dividends,
ACTUALLY beat expectations
Significantly higher cash, revenues

Revenue £105.9m (2019: £78.0m)
Gross margin 18.1% (2019: 15.5%)
Adj EBITDA £4.0m (2019: £1.1m)
Cash £8.9m (2019: £7.5m)

TLY are expecting to make more from ONE division, insourcing, than Byot will make from the entire business..

And they are not reliant on Covid going forward..

Mcap £33m

But bizarrely (IMO) in that £11.5m revenue forecast they still have only £0.5m for licence/royalty revenues. Still feels ultra conservative to me. Those with their own models will understand the difference a million or two of effectively 100% margin revenue would make to profit.
