03/8/2020 08:20 | Sikh Was looking at interims cash position. Gross cash and cash equivalents of £2.01m at period end, sufficient to complete growth plans. | grahamwales
03/8/2020 08:16 | Cash. As of March, fy2020, they had net cash of £1.4m With 1st qtr finished they have increased net cash to £1.8m, only a £400k gain. That's hardly a huge increase in cash for the company during the worst pandemic to hit the world for a century.. From their fy2020 TU: "Gross cash balances at 31 March 2020 were GBP1.7m. Net of the Group's invoice discount facility of GBP0.3m, net cash balances were GBP1.4m. " | sikhthetech
03/8/2020 08:09 | Melody "Product sales for the first quarter to 30 June exceeded £3.4m. In the whole of last year, revenues were c £6.0m" Yes they already stated in May that sales were at record levels for Q1, to end of June... so £3.4m for Q1 was already in the price. Last year, even with a spike in Sales in Feb, they still failed to beat their expectations for fy2020. "Sales in March and April 2020 each exceeded GBP1m " | sikhthetech
03/8/2020 08:07 | 1gw Has the cash decreased since Interims. Which suggests costs are increasing greater than revenue. | grahamwales
03/8/2020 08:01 | so lets stay with actuals then: Product sales for the first quarter to 30 June exceeded £3.4m In the whole of last year, revenues were c £6.0m again STT just spreading fear uncertainty and doubt to support his short position | melody9999
03/8/2020 08:00 | Stick to fantasy stock picking you're out of your depth in the real world | slicethepie
03/8/2020 07:53 | If you read their previous statement from May, they're saying the same thing... record sales for 1st qtr, ie to end of June... Lockdown started March, so Q1 was when their customers were STOCKING UP... No evidence of continuing REPEAT sales.. ""As we start a new financial year, we are pleased to report that sales momentum remains strong. We expect to generate record sales in the first quarter of the year and are optimistic that high levels of demand will continue for the remainder of the first half at least." | sikhthetech
03/8/2020 07:44 | The ghost "Results will be significantly ahead of market expectations." That's not true. Where do they say 'WILL".. They actually say ASSUMING supply chain and orderly Brexit they would expect.... So they still see Brexit and supply chain problems and even so they would expect. Huge difference between 'would expect' and 'will' H1 they also said they expected to beat expectations but failed when it came to fy results "Whilst it is early in the year, assuming continued easing in supply chains and a relatively orderly Brexit, the Board would expect revenue and EBITDA for the current financial year to be significantly ahead of current market expectations." | sikhthetech
03/8/2020 07:34 | Please don’t worry about STT the warden has removed all sharp objects and rope from his cell | wisecat2
03/8/2020 07:30 | Finncaps note will be interesting this morning | riddlerone
03/8/2020 07:29 | Very pleasing to hear that the supply chain continues to ease. This was my only concern for Byot. Trading at 2x revenues there is plenty of upside here. | rimau1
03/8/2020 07:27 | Great rns. Well done byot team. | loafofbread
03/8/2020 07:21 | He was too busy celebrating winning the July stock challenge big difference between fantasy and the real world and real profits. Well done byot | slicethepie
03/8/2020 07:17 | Brilliant! Can't be a real surprise to anyone but sikhthetech, perhaps, but nice to see it confirmed in an RNS. Staying quiet on expected licence revenue for the year, which is a bit frustrating, but leaves some nice upside potential for the mid-September update, or failing that the interims. | 1gw
03/8/2020 07:13 | Nice, that's plus licence and minimum royalty payments. Now looks extremely good value to me compared to TSTL. | riddlerone
03/8/2020 07:10 | Yes as I anticipated looking positive for continued growth and with further IP deals to follow 10 p should be achievable this Calendar year | best1467
03/8/2020 07:05 | Wow great statement. 3.4mln sales in 1q. Results will be significantly ahead of market expectations. Cash healthy. Thanks sir! | the ghost who walks
03/8/2020 07:05 | Sick in the head, RNS. | a.fewbob
03/8/2020 00:36 | I hear the CEO's dog has a spot on his backside which may cause Mr T. some angst and depress the company's performance... Please can I get my "Shorter's Club" badge | milesy
03/8/2020 00:16 | my son qualified as an accountant, moved into commercial - and now .....as digital was growing most quickly .... he is now becoming an expert in that discipline. easy for stt to cast fear uncertainty and doubt over any news - but good people should be given the opportunity to grow and any company that offers that scope will benefit. should be taken as a positive. | melody9999
02/8/2020 22:05 | 1gw "the appointment of a "Supply Chain Director" is perhaps more about recognition of the importance of supply chain in the current environment" They have had Supply Chain problems for ages... They also saw a spike in sales after Swine flu which isn't much different from now... They took over Medimark 2 yrs ago, so it's hardly something new. They announced the new deals with Tower & Tristel months ago.. The trials at Target were announced over 2 yrs ago... Companies ensure they have the basic structure in place 1st not react when the horse has bolted.. | sikhthetech
02/8/2020 21:49 | And the appointment of a "Supply Chain Director" is perhaps more about recognition of the importance of supply chain in the current environment and at the current scale, than it is about accessing supply chain skills per se. Byotrol appears to have supply chain expertise in Mark Wilkinson and I imagine Medimark also had expertise. When byotrol was just 13 or so employees I feel sure David Traynor would have been on top of every discipline and all functions would have reported pretty much directly to him. Once byotrol took on Medimark it became a materially bigger company. In addition senior management would have been stretched by the number of business development options (licensing & supply agreements) that were there to negotiate. So the company needed more formal management structures (i.e. more delegation) I imagine. What was the remit of Chief Commercial Officer? In some companies, "Commercial" means largely "sales", in other companies I think it covers pretty much all "non-technical" disciplines. So supply chain could have been part of the "Commercial" function in that respect - I don't know. But by creating a "supply chain director" role, byotrol is upping the profile of supply chain. Instead of supply chain being a part of the portfolio of a senior executive (e.g. CEO or CCO) it becomes the principal focus of one executive, who if it is Denise is presumably there to argue the supply chain case directly at board meetings. | 1gw
02/8/2020 20:41 | Denise Keenan has always come across extremely well at meetings especially the AGMs. To have someone like that is invaluable to a company the size of byotrol. Nowadays for some reason, companies have to advertise externally even when they have some internally. Great to have someone like that who can fill in if there is a problem elsewhere Maybe a good idea if Denise can be trained as a Psychotherapist to treat STT aka sickinthehead. | wisecat2
02/8/2020 20:13 | 1gw "How do you know she hasn't been doing Supply Chain this year, sikhthetech?" How do you know she has??? I can only go by what she states on her LinkedIn, why would she get the month wrong? Her LinkedIn states she became Supply Chain Director in July 2020, so over the last few days or month.. "to allow them to get supply up to support the £1m/month sales that they were able to do in March and April." Still nothing on sales for June or July though... Byot provided a TU every month since the lockdown...on 23/03, 27/04 & 14/05 and now nothing for nearly 3 months. Therefore, I think the next update maybe the results, maybe Aug/Sept/Oct. Without an update, I suspect there's no change since the last update and orders have slowed down as they previously indicated. The May update FROM THE COMPANY: Record levels in the 1st QTR, ie to June... then optimistic of high levels, not record levels for remainder of H1... "As we start a new financial year, we are pleased to report that sales momentum remains strong. We expect to generate record sales in the first quarter of the year and are optimistic that high levels of demand will continue for the remainder of the first half at least. Sales in March and April 2020 each exceeded GBP1m and we are expecting to show similarly strong performance in May. Our order book at the end of April stood at over GBP2m. The Group's supply chain is working well despite the global shortage of biocidal ingredients, exacerbated by unpredictable national lockdowns and border closures." | sikhthetech |
