30/7/2015 21:47 | I think we will see 888 upping their bid very soon, or talk of it. dyor regards active | srpactive
30/7/2015 15:05 | Anyone following Pokerscouts will note that Partypoker cash player numbers seem to be creeping up. It will be very interesting to see what the 7 day average is on Monday, but I would expect (hope) it to be above the constant of 1050 that we seem to be stuck with whenever I look. Perhaps somebody that has followed these on a regular basis could make some comment as to whether I am indeed correct or what might be happening. | hubshank
30/7/2015 14:36 | Let's see if 888 are right with their TV to player numbers. Ourgame now pushing WPT. You will need "translate" hxxp://www.ourgame.c hxxp://pw.lianzhong. 30/7/2015 11:05 | hubshank, cheers. | stephen1946
30/7/2015 10:31 | Stephen, there is a red dot against 888 which if you hover over it, it says Data not current! | hubshank
29/7/2015 21:36 | hubshank, also note 888 numbers are well down, some sort of deal in operation?? | stephen1946
29/7/2015 21:13 | As I type, the current number of Partypoker cash players exceeds the 7 day average players. What promotion are they running? | hubshank
29/7/2015 21:06 | I said a stake builder would appear and it looks like at nearly 37m shares traded today, a stake builder is on the scene. but who is it?? intriguing. | stephen1946
29/7/2015 20:16 | Huge volume today - must be a good sign. | tines
29/7/2015 18:47 | Cash players currently 1504 - that is a BIG step forward! | hubshank
29/7/2015 12:44 | 888's cash players are l BPTY's cash players account for 1/2 of daily players, unlike 888 who's cash players account for 1/7th of daily players - that is assuming information is correct, as there was a problem with the reporting recently. Go BPTY!!!! (Pokerstars seem to acheive 66% cash players) | hubshank
29/7/2015 12:39 | FWIW, on Pokerscouts I note our 7 day average today is 1050; ordinarily by Tuesday, we have dropped down to 1000: Our cash players 1002; ordinarily around 730 mark mid week. A small step forward perhaps? Lastly I think the BPTY advertising on Dave is shocking. The correlation between the advert and online gambling is so poor, that one would have to see the advert repeatedly before making any connection whatsoever. Anyone else have an opinion? I would be really interested to know what the recall stats are on it from the advertising agency. | hubshank
29/7/2015 11:56 | Another good report | frankiethecabbie
28/7/2015 22:19 | It is interesting someone mentioning the possible take out figure being 130p, as there has been a glass ceiling at that figure for years. 888 will win. | srpactive
28/7/2015 20:04 | This is why Spring Owl want 888 stock rather than GVC | frankiethecabbie
28/7/2015 16:42 | I believe, if you stakebuild more than 10%, you have to make a full cash option offer and can't do part and part. (I'm not on about where 30% crystallizes a contested takeover offer that needs a 90% vote as used to be more common. This is a Scheme of Arrangement that needs a 75% vote which is effectively more of a merger.) I'm not sure why they don't build a stake of less than 10%, though. There is, though, EU rules that say stakebuilt shares can't be voted. It increases the resistant vote in the remainder and makes the deal a little bit less likely to succeed. If 20% would always vote no, you can succeed if you do not buy shares and get 80% yes but buying up 50% that you can't vote would then make the no vote 40% of the rest that still can vote and your "merger" fails. You could then end up with a big stake that you might not want to keep and the shares could well collapse to a lower price. I think this all stems from new EU rules in 2006 (Don't kid yourself the UK has sovereignty any more.) which encourage Schemes of Arrangements with a 75% vote since it is hard to get over 90% with an offer if you can't vote stakebuilt shares any more. I am not certain on this. Do your own research. | aleman
28/7/2015 16:23 | This isn't hostile though. Bpty is cooperating with bidders, allowing them inside information. | whiskeyinthejar
28/7/2015 16:20 | t/o rules suggest they can buy shares in company they are interested in, that's the way hostile t/o`s happen. | stephen1946
28/7/2015 16:15 | As insiders, I don't think gvc or 888 are allowed to buy any shares in bpty on open market. They'll have seen the numbers, done due diligence and will have inside knowledge. | whiskeyinthejar
28/7/2015 15:37 | The only way GVC can win(I have also said many times) is for the backer to get in the market and build a stake. With the greatest respect, this point has been lost on, K.A. and Amaya(now cerebus). GVC should now have a good stake at £1.02 a pop, but todays Exec`s don't play by old rules. You can bet 888 have been building a sizable stake via different brokers. | stephen1946
28/7/2015 15:29 | 6 months ago the news papers were reporting that Bwin would go for between 130p and 140p. | loganair |
