Dontay - BMN were never going to supply the electrolyte for any Eskom BESS tender wins for the reason you have stated.
But Rongke could.

Have you seen the Ministers speech, it's happening. Big clue govt orders imminent.

The T&C's of the BESS projects call for them to be commissioned, connected and up and running by early next summer. That obviously takes out and removes any prospect of BE being involved in the bidding for any of those packages.Given the limited production capacity and simply cannot be in a position to supply commercial quantities of electrolyte until later into 2023, any BE contracts that may or may not be "imminent" can only come from proposed mini-grid projects. They're not even due to sign off on the ELZ lease for the land til later this year!I'm not sure the market is going to be sufficiently excited about that to cause any kind serious re- rate in the sp!Best to forget about the BE cavalry coming to the rescue for a couple of years and just rely on a nicely rising little earner from the V sales to the steel market. Which is exactly what the share price and 'market' is telling us it's doing!

I don’t disagree, but the fact remains it’s been kicked down the road from 2019 to 2022 for completion.

Vanadium production and price is the key. Prices seem to be rising steadily which is great, but the production growth is slow and will take several more years to reach. This is key, but the delays demonstrate that demand for growth isn’t there yet. Otherwise they would be throwing the kitchen sink at production growth and increase the capacity from the off at the electrolyte plant.

Remember the first ESKOM package is 320MWh. Based on everything we know they don’t appear confident of winning much.

Of course everything could change if they can persuade the government to take a leap of faith with BMN by saying give us the orders and we will scale up faster.

The key is it indicates orders are imminent. ITM power market cap reached a high of £3.5b despite very little revenue and loss making.

So BMN have confirmed it's the governments version that's 12 months out. Wow! That's a massive piece of misinformation put out by the government As for 'size' it's production capacity whenever it does actually start up towards the end of next year is a very limited 200mwh. and even that amount is an annualised estimated figure. There's not going to be any commercial VRFB type project sized amounts and quantities produced from this plant, until well into 2023.Best hope for profitability for the next couple of years is that China allows the recent V price increase to become reasonably well consolidated around $40.

BMN just tweeted Construction will begin in 2021.It's happening and it's going to be big, in fact the biggest outside of China. You don't commit if you don't have orders!!

So which is the truth and which is the lie?The governments version or BMN's?Which is it gonna be? Electrolyte production later this year OR Electrolyte production later next year? From the RNS issued last Friday:"The signing of the lease agreement with the Industrial Development Zone in East London and ground-breaking for the construction of the property is due to occur during Q2 2021, while the installation of major equipment is planned for during Q3 2021. Commissioning of the plant is expected in H2 2022."

This fake slide claiming 6720 MTV within 1 year is the perfect example of the daily ramping that goes on at bmn. Anybody who does 5 minutes research will see that this is just a massive lie so the only people a mass tweet can influence is numpties with £500 to invest. When the production figures don't materialise there take will be oh company poor comms. It's not the companies poor comms that's been the oroblem it's the fake lies and Ramps that happen on a daily basis.

When fortune sees this slide he will likely be fuming that bmn are getting blamed for Comms when the shareholders are being urged enmasse to promote a fake company slide with absolute lies!

I'd back a nasdaq listing ! Can't see it though why don't the rampers get a Twitter campaign going for that! Bmn4nasdaq#.that would be more useful than £2 boom .still think my bmncoin is the winner though digital backed vanadium currency maybe that's what the crux interview is going to be releasing news off...
