Nvh to say Knuttie selling is a complete misdescription. If you are going to make comment please give some context.

Capablanca64,

Yes, that is the principle and I did take out 4 times my original stake as I noted previously on this board. The problem of course is that you never know how far it is going to shoot up or collapse. GGP is an obvious example. How far will it go before it collapses?

There have been many smaller buys. I don't think that the shares have gone to specific large buyers.

Whilst someone has been selling, equally someone has been buying.. Every single 500k sell gets matched against a 500k buy and on the same day.

Looks more like a transfer of ownership, in an orderly market fashion. Had there not been a buyer and the MM's were taking them then we'd be on the floor by now.

So the real question is.. Who's taking them?

Conversely that implies you would have sold during all the euphoria in the run up to 48 pence ?

It would appear that Golden Summit have been selling. They are just about the only holder with sufficient shares to have provided the volumes that we have been seeing the last few months. Even so I would have thought that they had dumped more but I just may be fooling myself.

They must be one of the worst 'professional' investors I have come across. Their ethos is, presumably, 'buy high, sell low'.

I think that a lot of the 'originals' have sold to a greater or lesser extent.

I confess that, for the first time in 6 years, I am considering buying more. Share prices are ultimately driven by sentiment and I have been waiting for that to clearly go negative on LSE (being the most publicly used bulletin board). When those guys are negative (and it has been building) and staunch long term holders sell, it is usually a sign that the bottom is near.

Actually Nvhltd I think Alfa is the mystery seller.....talking up the company whilst secretly selling his shares - personally would have expected better from a doctor but then again Harold Shipman springs to mind.
