01/2/2019 21:10 | The new Madagascar President is an advocate for renewables, or he was the last time he was the President (well before batteries were much talked about). I always found it a point of interest that Lemur'e Chinese partner Sinohydro was better known for non fossil fuel power plants, than coal-fired. I wondered at the time whether their motive joining Lemur was as much about just getting a foothold in the country.... | katylied
01/2/2019 20:53 | South Africa doesn't have cheap coal. The best goes to export while the stuff Eskom buys from dodgy contracts is near non-affordable for the bankrupt utility. Two new coal power stations currently have massive cost over-runs and inderterminate completion dates. Massive union problems with that whole legacy operation. Renewables are South Africa's only real hope going forward and the west of the country is one of the best regions in the world for cheap solar. | katylied
01/2/2019 20:48 | Exactly what I meant pediment.. I'm just glad there's people here who are more articulate than myself | plat hunter
01/2/2019 20:36 | One could make an argument that the best estimate of forward P/E may look high at present given the growth story looks muted for the next year. Probably looking at low income growth and the market is adjusting for that. It's just a full valuation in a volatile market (as already noted), good visibility of earnings but market needs full year to assess free cash and ascribe a reasonable value in the current macro climate. One last point is when the credit/global economic collapse happens (not long now Imo) I reckon countries with cheap coal will sideline renewables and new storage technology (unfortunately) , especially China where construction will crater too Imo... | pediment
01/2/2019 19:45 | The buyer of over £200,000 worth of these shares at 1635 today appears to hold a different opinion to yours PH. Follow the money...... | coldspring
01/2/2019 19:26 | A book full of sells and the bid sitting on a support and 23% from the high suggests otherwise.Loads of uncertainty too. When's the SA listing, when and how much is the placing for and why do they want a placing. What is the key profit, what are the margins etc etc. When it comes to the important things that people buying into 7 figure mcaps look for, there's just too many questions atm. | plat hunter
01/2/2019 19:06 | No debt, healthy profits, new rebar regs in China, proven resource of commodity in short supply and new tech called VRFB to assist in energy storeage. Yeah, overpriced...my brown eye | psbhoy
01/2/2019 19:03 | Massively overpriced on the latest profits v current share price How? | psbhoy
01/2/2019 18:16 | I don't dispute that bmn.. Only rockets go up in straight lines though and it's my opinion that this company needs to change to justify it's price tag. | plat hunter
01/2/2019 18:13 | PHNot in my book. We are buying a 'Cash generative company' with several other irons in the fire to boot. | bmnsa
01/2/2019 17:36 | I'm just the yang to your ying Vauch that's all. I see this as massively over priced at the moment. | plat hunter

01/2/2019 17:05 | True JC and thank you for your comments, you are much more a balanced bull than some here | plat hunter
01/2/2019 17:02 | Well, we can only go by what we are told so on that basis we will probably have to wait until June based on last year's reporting and the fact that BMN like to leave it until the last moment. I suspect, however, that other events will overtake us long before then, principally the Q1 production report will either suggest that the transformation programme is having a positive effect on production or the problems remain and, perhaps more significantly, Vanadium prices post CNY will indicate the direction of profitability. | jc2706
01/2/2019 16:58 | 23% down over the last 90 days and now here come the rampers, cutting and pasting the same article 5 times day and shouting about 40 basis points. Why waste your time Dontay? | plat hunter
01/2/2019 16:56 | I do hear you JC I just think that at best, that's a method of calculating a rough guesstimate at best and is fine for junior companies with low mcap and bright future ahead of it. BMN's success and lofty MCAP means people will undoubtedly want more, when it comes to the numbers and it will imo feed the naysayers and those demanding more certainty. | plat hunter

01/2/2019 16:32 | I understand that Plat Hunter. My point is that if you look at the interims they suggest that these numbers are very low. As you know, since the retirement of the (awful) convertibles BMN no longer has any debt. Further evidence in the interims relevant to your statement: Cash - £26m at 30/6/18 EBITDA - £31.7m Profit After Tax - £21.1m The last two of these indicate clearly the relationship between EBITDA and post tax profit. | jc2706
01/2/2019 16:19 | The third man was not found. The witnesses said he looked like Benny from Crossroads but a lot older looked like he didn't look after himself a bit disheveled and had bad teeth. | 1enigmatic
01/2/2019 16:14 | JC it was more of the point that no one actually knows what they, rather than a suggestion of what they may be. | plat hunter
