Monteville2: from a share price performance the last 2 years have been brilliant, but operationally last year was a disaster. When I say disaster I am talking about missed targets set by the BoD. Our savings grace last year was the cost of vanadium in the market which generated significant revenues, but even this was well short of expectations because of production issues, grades, breakdowns and industrial action. The market is now punishing us for those failures therefore the BoD has to restore confidence that they have learnt lessons and can evidence success.

The VRFB currently being commissioned for ESKOM to test is more than 7 months late. Even if the test prove successful there’s no way of knowing whether VRFB technology will win all or part of the SA storage contracts due for tender this year. Even if VRFB’s do prove successful there’s going to be other manufacturers tendering for the contracts. So while BE have a number of unique selling points nothing is guaranteed until news is announced later this year.

All I would say is be realistic. Do not get taken in by the rampers or naysayers. Be open to alternative views. We’re not the only show in town.

Nick I don't need to make it up.. this company is rattled with problems.. to be expected mind, they're a relatively young company and over valued...But that's the facts here and it's now circa 30% down from intraday highs.Nothing goes up or down on straight lines and the log term case may very well be decent but why can't you accept the issues which are causing the current consternation?

Plat, making it up again.

'Hence why they only quote EBITDA' - that's obviously nonsense.

They quote Ebitda in the production report, which is much more than they need do. It is after all a 'production report'.

Full financials were disclosed in the H1 figures, which were RNS'd on 26th September.

Plat - You won't get any respect if you just keep making stuff up.

Monty.. they're very silent on costs full stop.. Hence why they only quote EBITDA There's plenty of acknowledgement about the plant failure, it's age and performance or lack thereof. But no mention of what the write downs will be in improving efficiencies. The proof is in the pudding and until they show the bottom line in the accounts or anounce via RNS the nuances and costs of the plants, upgrades etc etc. Then you simply can't trust what gets said as they seem to be very and overly optimistic. This of course is just my humble opinion.

I bought an initial investment here yesterday as I can see the long term potential, and thought share price weakness was a reasonable entry. Indeed if it drops further I am likely to top up is my current thinking.

Bushveld Energy is clearly a very clever use of the resource and I can see the need for the technology particularly in Africa. What I havent been able to get my head around is how much they are investing in this side of the business and what the business plan is for this business. I have read/watched a few of the recent presentations, and see the business case as compelling but the company is always seems to be silent on how much this is costing and when it will start driving a revenue. I understand and am comfortable with the need for R&R but there will be a forward plan.

Can anyone enlighten me who knows the situation better?

Hi Vauch: Still here with my 7,335,050 shares. No amount of bull from you and deflection from the facts will change anything. The share price has collapsed and the failures of the BoD in 2018 are the root cause.

What I’m What going forward is clear evidence that they are turning things around, targets that are achievable and more openness regarding BE.

BE have been in existence since 2016 and so far delivered nothing of value. It’s time to deliver.

Probably more truth in that than "everything is okay here and the only way is up"

I've certainly been the only person to call this right over the last month or so.

How much have you lost since Christmas, vauch?

See there you again JC, you're picking holes in the words used when you know full well what they are and the context they are being deployed, to argue the cCollins Dictionary definition .. The only purpose of doing so, is too disrupt the narrative and that's why you're tarred with the same brush.

I see you've swerved the question though, do you not agree what they're doing is distasteful?

Anyway, you seem to be getting more and more perturbed for some reason so I will withdraw for now.

Simply because cronies means a close friend or companion. As I have no idea who these people are I can hardly describe them as that.

Or is more so that you may have joined an argument today that you have innocently misinterpreted?

If so then my point is proved about the control and distraction of narrative, no?

Why are they not your cronies? You share the same views, you've demonstrated that today... or do you think that what they are doing is fair game and Fizzydrink on LSE deserves it for listening to people on forums?

If there is a placing on JSE listing, it is worth speculating what it is for because working capital is not required. Any such placing is likely to be associated with something that should improve the company's profitability.
