Like many traditional retailers Next and Burberry have both been severely disrupted by lockdown measures caused by Covid-19.

A reopening of the economy as vaccine rollouts continue, as well as their improved online positioning, could be a positive catalyst for the shares, as Investor's Champion's latest research reveals.

All things considered not bad results - opens at £17.20 and despite 20% more reported buys than sells it falls all day and is now in the red ????

Is there a potential risk here with rapidly cooling Anglo Sino relations?.

Chinese consumers worldwide account for approx 40% of Burberry revenues.

Hi all,

My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a ‘Twin Petes Investing’ Podcast a few days ago and part of our discussion covers BRBY. We also chatted about loads of other Stocks and as always a fair bit of general Portfolio Management educational stuff. Anyway, if you use Apple, Audioboom, Overcast or Spotify you can find it under the 'Conkers Corner' Channel (you want TPI Podcast 27) and you can find it on Soundcloud at the link below.

I hope you enjoy it and find it useful,

Cheers, WD

Analysis/speculation in Chronic Investor as a Buy (2020 annual pick) on following basis:
- Gobbetti and Tisci strategy coming good;
- "solid" cash generation despite increased capex;
- mainland China sales growth in mid teens (excl. HK);
- partnering with Tencent (0700.HK) in developing "social retail" in China to start at new store to open in Shenzen;
- consolidation in luxury sector (LVMH (MC.PA) buys Tiffany).
