As he claims to be short from around £3, Monty only posts when the price is going down...

He's never down, he's the number one. He's at this moment looking through the last few days prices to see the exact time he switched from short to long.

Increased long position this morning. Current share price just fine - let it stay there!

I think Montymuppet is still trying to hide his shame over thinking if Q1 sales are down 2% then they will be down 8% over the year. Everyone makes bad calls, but to make an error as bad as that shows lack of any understanding.

There's still an unfilled gap at 299 & then BINGO up it will go.
Overall starting to look promising.

when is ex div at 04/08 ?.....might take profits as opposed to div, which is more tax efficient for me as historical trading losses.......as opposed to dividends which will be taxed

It sounds an interesting offer from Openreach,to upgrade the rural areas to fibre, funded by passing the costs onto the CP’s.

Ofcom can’t complain, as they insist Openreach operates as a seperate company from BT. The providers will appear as hypocritical parasites if they voiced their displeasure at this proposition.

It’s ideas like this that will (slowly) change public opinion to BT, and undoubtedly be good for the company and the share price.

Let's not get too carried away!
Bit negative I know but I see the correct share price to be currentbprice minus 10-12p allowing for divi. Which is good as it desperately needs to remain above £3 post cutoff

Within the £318m of specific items is a charge of £225m to settle warranty claims with Deutsche Telekom and Orange arising from the previously reported issues in Italy, and £52m of restructuring costs. These are associated with the ongoing transformation of divisions including Technology, Service & Operations and Global Services.

post 24753 above has the article.....

Whoever expressed concern about the warranty, I have read an article (on mobile so cannot cut 'n paste) which says words to the effect of the payment puts an end to the Italian liability. Clean slate.

I will see if I can re find amd post link.

'Rivals argue that this is a stealth charge that effectively means UK broadband users will fund the rural internet rollout as their bills go up.'

Duh! So who do Sky and Talktalk expect to pay for it? Not themselves that's for sure! T055ers
