After ex div, watch these fall like a stone, private investors buying for the divi, but will lose the benefit in fall in their capital, but they seem ok with that, like a safety blanket for them.

Deutsche really have it in for BT, makes me think somebody may have screwed up and now trying to force price down to cover their backs! 3 sell recommendations in 2 weeks. One per qtr would be adequate

EBITDA is all city care about and it was down 2% this quarter, to me BT are very expensive. Dividend holding shareprice up.

The incoming guy made a statement claiming company in better position now than 2007 poised for future growth. Assets at £4 per share..... £4 has to be the bench mark....

Good luck with growth where is that coming from?Everyman and he's dog want the 10p dividend, safety net they think. Let's see the price couple of days after ex div.Ofcom will just keep on hammering BT.

Monty - "everyone buying for a 10p dividend" is a bit of a generalisation, if you don't mind me saying. Some of those that have invested, including myself, have done so for longer-term growth - the dividend is a nice bonus. I am not sure what definitive evidence you have for this statement - for sure, some volume will be down to this - but "everyone"?
