03/8/2018 15:24 | Friday thought. Long term holding shares seems a lot less mental grief than trying to trade shares. | hamhamham1
03/8/2018 15:07 | This deal should get some new customers onto BT superfast broadband... It was surely only a matter of time. Watching the likes of NOW Broadband and TalkTalk shepherding business their way with ridiculously cheap fibre broadband deals, BT has finally responded. And it's a three-pronged attack. For starters, BT has reduced the monthly price of its best value fibre broadband plan by £2 - so BT Superfast Fibre now only costs £29.99. A decent way to start. In addition, it has raised the value of its so-called 'reward card' perk. It's now £100 to spend anywhere online or in store that Mastercard is accepted (up from £80). But where it really gets interesting is the fact it's also adding 18 months of free BT Sport - ideal considering the Premier League season is only a week away. That means you can watch all the BT Sport action either online, via the BT Sport App or on your Sky box. | hamhamham1
03/8/2018 15:05 | Toon. Motley blow hot and cold. QED. | hamhamham1
03/8/2018 10:51 | Motley-Fool - they are useless - time to buy more then in BT!!! | kulvinder
03/8/2018 10:37 | I guess if there was a sector rotation happening, and a flight to safety and consumer staples / telecoms /etc. Then what better time to get involved, ie a near 5% divi to start to proceedings. Apologies in advance Diku. | hamhamham1
03/8/2018 09:13 | Toon. Motley blow hot and cold more than Monty. Right off to do a Reggie Perrin! | hamhamham1
03/8/2018 09:07 | Just one re. IAG, then I'm off for a swim in the sea. Is it true to say not be fooled by the 8bn euros cash in hand there. Airlines collect cash before flight dates, usually at time of booking. So 8bn euros equates to about 4 months of revenue. A lot of people will book their flights upto 6 months before they fly, so much of that money in the bank has yet to got out to pay for service not yet provided. Is that a fair point? I am not saying it isn't profitable, just that the 8bn cannot be spent elsewhere. | hamhamham1
03/8/2018 09:06 | From the Motley Fool "The bad news just keeps on coming for BT Group. I wouldn’t touch it with a bargepole!" - ://www.fool.co.uk/in Clearly not impressed with BT Group!! | toon1966
03/8/2018 08:57 | Diku, never a truer word said. | hamhamham1
03/8/2018 08:54 | So best if you stop screen watching... | diku
03/8/2018 08:47 | If this share price gets to say 350p in 3 years (for me that's not a huge ask, as still only 2/3's the level of what it has been). Then that's about an average annual return of 40p from this price, or about 17% per year on original investment). And that's ignoring the current additional 7% annual dividend. | hamhamham1
03/8/2018 08:20 | Roll on the 10.55p divi :) As a long term holder here, I will hold my shares for a few years and enjoy seeing the exciting developments. Trading shares definitely isn't for me! | hamhamham1
03/8/2018 08:20 | As you said Monty 'superb' IAG results this morning, share price currently 'down' 4.0%. | toon1966
03/8/2018 08:18 | Monty's IAG Trade not looking good? Down 4%. | nige co
03/8/2018 07:48 | Did anyone see that Openreach first annual review last week? | hamhamham1
03/8/2018 07:22 | You can never tell, how the analyst look at figures. | montyhedge
03/8/2018 07:18 | Monty are the IAG figures good? Will the share price open up and continue up or head down? (As per Barclays yesterday). | hamhamham1
03/8/2018 07:03 | Only paper losses though. Hopefully that'll follow through and some will burn in hell. | chiefbrody
03/8/2018 06:56 | Was this Monty? | eeza
03/8/2018 00:12 | Perhaps they will, one day. But their recent attempts are no good or too expensive. | mbmiah
02/8/2018 20:32 | Some very good points made ham. | veryniceperson
02/8/2018 20:01 | I just think that what Tesla is trying to do will be done better by Audi/BMW/Toyota/Etc as these have the resources and most importantly they have all the local garages, etc for servicing amd fixing, Isn't the Tesla built in a tent? It's not like Tesla has just started it's over 10 years old. | hamhamham1
02/8/2018 18:38 | Tesla is still in growth mode same as apple used to be in the beginning, and in the middle. Shares are all about potential, you know that. | mbmiah
02/8/2018 17:45 | Apple makes loads of profits. Tesla makes huge losses, they are fixing stuff to make it look profitable next quarter but its a bit smoke and mirrors. | hamhamham1
02/8/2018 17:34 | Wouldn't you have bought Apple shares? | mbmiah |
