27/7/2018 11:20 | Toon. I guess if the want the Global Services side to increase their worldwide business offerings there is a case? Plus they could float the Openreach? Then either increase their broadband retail and mobile exposure here, or sell bits off? I don't think that they would necessarily be potential buyers, but they are big enough to raise the cash if they wanted to. But who knows? 'Consolidation' seems to be the 21 century buzz word. | hamhamham1
27/7/2018 11:17 | Forgot your a long term investor, not a trader. Perhaps we should have a thread, BT - Traders thread, no investors allowed, they get upset to quickly. | montyhedge
27/7/2018 11:15 | Monty, all shares drop ex-divi, it's not like I'm going to sell on that day and realise the ex-divi drop? It's in the bank and I'll watch the share price recover. | hamhamham1

27/7/2018 10:32 | Thats the problem DMF. Rates were supposed to rise years ago.The government/BOE are addicted to low rates.Last time they didn't rise because it was too cold. Next time it'll be because its too hot!Once idiot Carney goes, it might change but don't bank on it.We could see circa 1% rates for another decade yet ffs. | chiefbrody
