31/7/2018 16:13 | He appears to know all about you 'tho Monty, obviously a quick learner :-) As all BT & ex BT workers are. | sicker
31/7/2018 15:59 | Got to counter hamham constant ramping of BT.His been on here for six months think he knows it all. Lol | montyhedge
31/7/2018 15:59 | It was the best short, that is historical, the share price will drop ex div - but forget 200 it will not happen ! | dmf
31/7/2018 15:52 | After ex div your see this heading back towards 200p. Best short on the Ftse 100. | montyhedge
31/7/2018 15:25 | Ekuuleus Your post 30471 is correct. We have to make allowances for those less fortunate than us. We have to make extra allowances for Monty. | jenny tulwought
31/7/2018 15:20 | Here’s why the BT share price could be set to storm back against the FTSE 100 | dmf
31/7/2018 15:13 | DMF. Yup. For some reason he needs to think that he's held in high regard here and to get there he needs to keep flip-flopping to cover all bases so he "can't be wrong". But the worst characteristic is to needlessly badmouth a share that he has either sold a long position on (to justify his exit) or is trying (in vain) to lower bb sentiment and the share price to get a better long entry price. If he was a real 'classy' trader, he would have the need for these antics. The noisy ones don't tend to be the clever ones... I mean, just look at me :) | hamhamham1
31/7/2018 15:04 | hamhamham1...You would think if Monty is certain of how he sees BT share price moving...he would short the stock...it seems unlikely to me that he is shorting BT, unless he has already stated so in one of his earlier post! | dmf
31/7/2018 14:53 | Showing my age here, but remember a girl who was at my secondary school who kept running around the playground saying "83 days until I go see Duran, Duran", then the next day "82 days until I go see Duran Duran", you get my drift? She couldn't understand (or see) that the rest of the school didn't really care. Only difference to here is that she didn't alternate every other day by saying, she hates Duran Duran and that she had torn up her tickets. | hamhamham1
31/7/2018 14:38 | DMF. I have learnt that Monty just seems to come here and gloat about his pseudo investments elsewhere and slag off the shares here. It's an odd thing to want to do, not sure what he's looking for? Some kind of praise from internet strangers? | hamhamham1
31/7/2018 14:34 | BT will of course drop ex div .....but i would not risk shorting BT ! | dmf
31/7/2018 14:32 | monty, 2% per month is 26.8% per year. you must work in the financial sector.... | ekuuleus
31/7/2018 14:31 | Monty, I thought you said you sold 'some' of your IAG shares. I guess if they go south, you would say you sold most of your shares, if they go north you say you only sold a few of your shares. I get it - so to cover your 'reputation'??? I find it funny that you need to reassure yourself here. 24 hrs ago you said the whole market was going south this Thursday? It's hard to keep up with your changes in direction, I guess 50 % of the time you will be right. | hamhamham1
31/7/2018 14:31 | Apart from the fact you sold a 'few' yesterday and so missed out on the big rise today... | toon1966
31/7/2018 14:30 | Monty.......look at GLEN ....rising nicely! | dmf
31/7/2018 14:22 | IAG what a winner for the No.1 trader. Getting ready for the short ex div day,BT. | montyhedge

31/7/2018 08:11 | 'trading manipulation' - what brokers rely upon, SETS interference to trigger stops, broker bogus short/long positioning, anon.... p.s. my apologies for posting during opening hours. | colonelgrim

31/7/2018 07:06 | 09-07-18 - Morgan Stanley's chief U.S. equity strategist, Michael Wilson. Morgan Stanley turns more defensive on stocks, downgrades technology. Wilson downgrades small-cap stocks to equal weight, and upgrades defensive sectors consumer staples and telecom services to equal weight. 17-07-18 - Morgan Stanley's chief U.S. equity strategist, Michael Wilson. It's time to sell tech, warns Morgan Stanley. Mike Wilson, Morgan Stanley, on the rocky market road ahead. Is it time to get defensive? 30-07-18 - Morgan Stanley's chief U.S. equity strategist, Michael Wilson. Correction Worse Than February Is Looming, Morgan Stanley Says. One of the more curious developments since the reporting season began has been lagging value stocks -- those priced cheaply to their assets. Typically, strong earnings reports spur investors to bid up underpriced stocks... Yet there are some signs that a new leadership could emerge. Value was able to recover some of its losses on Monday, gaining nearly 0.6 percent, most among 10 factors tracked by Bloomberg. Over the past three days, value has beaten the strategy of chasing winners by 1.8 percentage points, poised for the best outperformance since 2016. Analysts like JPMorgan’s Marko Kolanovic point to signs of a value rally that would pick up the slack in momentum stocks. ...To be fair, he called this on the 9th before the big tech drops. | hamhamham1
30/7/2018 20:51 | 2% per month trading profit is 24% per year. | montyhedge
30/7/2018 17:25 | If you look at the accounts, you can see that Global Services have been making half a billion EBITDA p.a. over recent years, but this has been almost totally written down with near matching amounts of 'Depreciation & Amortization' which wiped out most all the profit before tax. (ie 2018 was £434m EBITDA and post D&A leaves just £10m before tax). I guess this is just a tax thing, to write down a lot of investment they have made over recent years and existing asset values? I know someone who was part of BT Radianz refresh upgrade a couple of years ago. Clever chap, he had a Masters in Quantum Physics from Imperial. I learnt not get him talking about String Theory when I worked with him at another place. So once those write downs are done, more profit will appear out of the ether hopefully:) But I guess as long as the profit is there at the EBITDA stage then reducing the profit before tax is just an accounting process to reduce tax liabilities, so maybe it's an ongoing tax lowering process as network upgrades are a near constant process. | hamhamham1
30/7/2018 17:05 | It's called trading....2% swings can make you thousands if you've enough capital or CFD/spreadbets | mbmiah
30/7/2018 16:35 | Am I missing something here? It went down less than 2% today before coming back up. Who's setting their stops within 2%? | grale22 |
