I invest for dividends usually. But with BT brought at 312 thinking i could make a quick buck, didn't happen. On that occasion Monty is right bad investment but a good dividend. Never mind it will get back to 312. Not worried.

Diku. I am not divi chasing, it's an incidental bonus.
I am invested here because I believe that BTs share price will go up a lot over the next few years.
I am investing because they are a key player in a lot of markets and have the R&D resources to drive ahead after costs are bought under control.

Increased P1 reseves by around 1500%!!!!! Not going to comment on the rest, have a read....

Yes that is 1500% uplift (and thats just the P1) It is hard to believe how significant this is.

THe herd have not arrived yet.. Its still under the radar of most investors.

Add to it 40 million USD in the bank
Heading for 4,000 boepd production in the short term
Just announced 24 well development programme for this huge resource.

Some comments from twitter below

#RPT A truly gigantic reserves upgrade for O&G holding #RegalPetroleum. About to catch a flight but am totally ecstatic by this news. Totally oustanding. 1P (proved) soar from 1.9mmboe to 27.8mmboe and a further 24 wells. Gobsmacked! investegate.co.uk/regal-petroleu…

Dont waste your time and miss the boat, this is still seriously undervalued .

Short term price movements only affect you if you have close-ish stop losses, need the money for something else or are trading and need an income/capital.
This is still up nearly 15% from the recent lows. (I am up about 6%).
And as I am a long term holder and not selling, the only real net gain/loss that will be realised is the 10.55p (5% on original investment) dividend which I will qualify for soon and receive a bit later.
Each to their own I guess.

Buying the right company, at the right price, reinvesting the dividends and holding for the long term.
Terrible idea, it'll never catch on, I must tell that sage bloke from Omaha before he loses the lot.

Monty - I think he knows one hell of a lot more than you do about BT. Read his somewhat informed posts. New CEO does not have the room to kitchen sink - it's already been done!

Perhaps they may asked Gavin to stay, jumped the gun getting rid of him. New CEO I would imagine kitchen sink everything and cut the dividend. Cutting sport coverage but want customers to pay more. I will be saying goodbye BT hello Sky, lol.
