Markets running to defensives!

Toon. Yep, am happy to be mostly cash and with BT as a UK-centric income defensive stock, which has already lost 60% of it's value during the 'unloved telecoms' era of the last few years. It's not immune but it's a solid income generator through good times and bad times - could be very important that last bit.
Everything goes in cycles!
Time will tell.

Once psychology level and pivotal point of 220p, is broken and holds at close, then I really think next trading range 235p -240p.Don't forget ex div couple of weeks time 10.55p getting paid why we wait, lol.

I have a low commission regular investment account with my broker to which I transfer all the dividends I receive. They are then re-invested in which ever company I am currently building towards a target. At the present time that is GSK.

I have a Hargreaves Lansdown account and my BT div is paid into my account, I then buy more BT shares. As you say at the current price it make sense and helps me average down.

For the last two years I have reinvested my dividends via DRIP, at current levels it seeems to make sense.
Does anyone else do this?

Would be nice to have a close on the weekly above 218.15p.
I think the estate agent shares are going to continue to get qlsquisjed in this environment. Countrywide amd Foxtons both shadows of former share prices. Happy here with good regular UK income for BT.

Talk talk in trouble. Daisy pulled out, they needed that cash. Shares down 9%

If they did need the money then they gonna have to get it another way, if a placing required then that would be over 15% dilution on share price.



Unfortunately their business model is defunct.
