Ireland was part of the UK then.

Ireland was part of the United Kingdom from 1801 to 1922. For almost all of this period, the island was governed by the UK Parliament in London through its Dublin Castle administration in Ireland.

The 1997 mass immigration which is by far the largest is totally down to Blair and New Labour that is indisputable and even admitted by them.
If you don't think so then argue with them, they are telling you this and you still think otherwise. Just how stupid are Labour voters? they are also pro Brexit, again it's lost on the Brainless lunatics!

No, it started with mass immigration which was not in the Labour manifesto in 1997 they have even admitted this. Then Brown axed the Pension Tax Credits in the same year as well as selling off all our Gold at under $300 - maybe you on another Planet?
Blair allowed in all the EE's in 2004 against advice saying they expected around 13,000 Poles. There are 1million within the m25 according to their free London Newspaper.
Of course they want the property bubble to make it look like growth but they have not accounted for all the infrastructure etc. needed, never mind anything else. You need to go to an Inner City to see how real mass immigration is.
These are historic facts, not propaganda.

How do you ramp it?...supply and demand...it all really started after the tech boom and bust of Y2000...punters/investors/gamblers lost money and confidence in the markets...the Poles first started to come here in 2003/2004...only one economy that is all wrapped around the property market...the number of sectors connected directly or indirectly supporting the property market is endless..so rates/criteria have to be accomodating in some shape or forms...
