14/12/2021 12:05 | Could Openreach be split out as not a wholly owned BT entity thereby protecting the national secutity implications | grupo guitarlumber
14/12/2021 12:02 | I doubt Openreach could be sold off due to the National Security and investment act 2022, comes into effect in January. | spacecake
14/12/2021 11:03 | and another thing I don’t think DT will sell their stake unless it’s at a substantial premium as they will know what it’s really worth, looks like she’s bottomed there imho dyor | csmwssk12hu
14/12/2021 11:00 | The most likely thing here for me is they are going to separate open reach and break up bt, if the £30-40bn valuation for open reach is correct there is serious upside here, that gives him an exit plan, and a few billion in the bank to pay off Sotheby’s mortgage and the overdraft, billionaire problems who would want them hey | csmwssk12hu
14/12/2021 10:49 | So if DT buy altices 18% that takes them over 30%. So why would that not be a route to takeover. Altice can still do very well out of this. | nicbw01
14/12/2021 10:47 | Today’s decline has closed out a couple of overnight gaps at 168.6p and 171.85p from 3/12 and 8/12. The next lower gap existing is at 158.6p from 30/11, whilst this morning’s 174.85p is the next one to the upside. Either one could be interesting levels to monitor. Good luck everyone, Sid. | eaaxs06
14/12/2021 10:46 | Apparently strong support might be at 159.70p | grupo guitarlumber
14/12/2021 10:41 | It did bounce off 155 last time so that's my watch area mate | reidy66
14/12/2021 10:27 | Sold some of my holding at 177 3 days ago watched it go up to 180 very soon after Can t believe I ve just got them back in at these levels Had hedged them with a small buy of Vodafone which of course immediately went down Very relieved bunny here I m just going to let this carry on over Xmas as making no sense to me at moment I'm going to buy a lottery ticket now Good luck everybody | jubberjim
14/12/2021 10:27 | just topped up. 162p. watching the Bond movie Casino Royale last night. it has a bad effect on me. .....all in. | careful
14/12/2021 10:22 | careful, from TA perspective 155 area or even 143/144 area look increasingly likely. Doesn't mean it will happen, but it certainly came off quickly today. If it did get to those areas, I'd personally be sitting up and paying attention. | stupmy
14/12/2021 10:17 | Straight in at this price, no brainer | tcarter66208
14/12/2021 10:16 | I've just bought 9500... I can't believe this has dropped so much :) | g2theary
14/12/2021 10:16 | Don't know about the rest of you, but if the share price falls any further I may top up. | careful
14/12/2021 10:13 | He will have been told that HMG would block his bid. Broadband is key infrastructure, regulation etc. And yet he responds by upping his stake. This is a game of chess. A bung to Boris may do the trick. | careful
14/12/2021 10:11 | At what point does technology become exhausted?...every bit of tech is used up and no further advances... We can just own our shares long term and look away. The share prices have lost touch with reality. Look at Apple. A great company but $3 trillion.? You must be kidding. Smartphones are old technology now, many others have it. Those fat margins will collapse. | diku
14/12/2021 10:09 | He couldn't short it but his sources can...or from a different vehicle... | diku
14/12/2021 10:08 | We can just own our shares long term and look away. The share prices have lost touch with reality. Look at Apple. A great company but $3 trillion.? You must be kidding. Smartphones are old technology now, many others have it. Those fat margins will collapse. As for BT, I am holding for the long term. Share price will be all over the place..but it is meaningless. BT vs Bitcoin or Tesla....no contest. | careful
14/12/2021 10:04 | They couldn't have shorted it because they had inside info of the statement More likely they are about to buy more. They're in for the very long term with that level of holding. | pierre oreilly
14/12/2021 10:00 | We all know he is getting these shares on the cheap and for sure that means an expected big profit at some point in future. You dont reach such a big increase in share % in matter of days, without already having a deal with big shareholder up front. Its a wait and see game here, but his influence will continue to grow month by month. His statements today can and will change tomorrow. I am holding to see what the future brings, as when BT are run in the right way they are very lucrative investment. Previous Years of poor management and decisions has put us in this position today | tornado12
14/12/2021 10:00 | Well done drahi your stake has gone down 7% please keep your mouth shut | fletcher270
14/12/2021 09:55 | Morale of story for PI's is FTSE shares are not for keeps but just kick around... | diku
14/12/2021 09:54 | So does that mean the free float has reduced more?...what chance yesterday when share price was around 180p he went short knowing the RNS due of not interested in bidding the company...how one can move the price to their advantage... | diku
14/12/2021 09:52 | More likely a break up then a take-over. | loganair |
