There goes the third 180 gap, of 189.75 from 6 months ago on 7/7 quickly taken out this morning; it certainly hasn’t taken long to rattle through the 180’s.

Looking ahead, it might pause to rebuild around this level before tackling the 200p level, hopefully in the run up, and release of Q3 figures on Feb 4th.

A note of caution is a couple of lower gaps that have opened either side of 180p, so they could be re-visited in the near future.

I don't expect any offer. It's BT. Cannot be sold into foreign hands. Just a non starter.

Ok well its totally obvious now that there is stakebuilding going on atm. What would we expect an offer to look like. I bough about 3 pounds I have had lots of divis of course. Will I be taken out cheaply

..... and there’s the second overnight gap closed out today at 186.75p, from 16/7/20, everything is looking good so far today. It’s good to see the shares trading on a 6 month high.

The next upper target gap is at 189.65p, which doesn’t look that far away now.

Goldman Sachs raises BT to Conviction Buy List (Buy) - price target 270 (180) pence.

I agree, it all sounds good. A 'conviction buy' implies they are confident it will hit the target in the near future.

Let's hope they're right.

A good start to the day for BT, with the 183.95p overnight gap from 28/7 being closed out in the first ten minutes of trading, onwards and upwards now, hopefully to close out the other couple of gaps in the 180’s.
