Monty. Yep, as you can probably tell :)
I am majority in cash in bank at the moment, I just cannot see where the markets are going over the next year or so. I saw BT as one of the few undervalued big companies and as I have worked on/with several parts of their networks over the years I feel I have a better insight to this share than other shares (but I will invest in others in the future, after any correction - am in no rush).
I answered your question, so please do the courtesy and reply with details on any shares you hold?

When you were a shareholder (ie 2 months ago) you were prepared to even go to the AGM (if you were in town) to give Gavin a peace of you mind????
Gavin has had 5 years to make his mark, the current share price of 240p would have to gain by another 65p (27%) just to get back to the 305p which it was the day before he got the job in 2013.

Yes thats right, if I were a shareholder which I'm not, all Gavin plans seem to be working, investors panicked and jumped the gun to get rid of him, should have waited at least until the figures.

So 'hope' is EITHER not an investment strategy unless your name is Montyhedge, OR it's only for a matter of minutes.....

Monty. You posted earlier that if you were still a shareholder you would want Gavin to stay, ie because the company is turning around now and showing that in latest results. Now I cannot overlay that logic with your last statement about opening a short in which you imply the share price is going fall a lot???

As long as the price remains above the lower trend line (from 2016) tomorrow then it's going to be very interesting to see how it pans out..

Monty. Well, this will be a test of your trading skills, you'd better hope that BT hasn't broken that downtrend. Personally, I think it has, so cannot see why you would risk it? But as you say, you are the trader and I am the long term investor. Time will tell, and it doesn't affect me, just you.

Monty. I use the word 'hope' because that figure (or any other) isn't really relative to my investment here over a few years, it's just a figure I opted for to keep my interest up today on this bb. Any short term price doesn't matter, all that matters is that I get my divi allocated tomorrow and that I hold my investment for the medium/long term.
Hope is something more akin to trading I would imagine.
