Toon. Surely he has to get investigated for that?
I mean, surely he has to at least prove that the $70bn funding facility is in place?
I hear he has a bond up for renewal (or something) that has a consequence that he has to stump up $1bn cash soon if the share price isn't at as certain level?
(let alone it being seen as a dodgy way of trying to force some of the short sellers to buy back - 28% of their stock is out for short I believe currently?).
The SEC should do something, else it's going to be the method of choice for any ailing company to try and buck the market share price!

Apparently in his letter to the employees, he's said he was sick to death that the value of the company is being related to it's quarterly performances :)

Yes Ham, it was rather interesting watching CNBC last night, just wonder if Elon will get away with this or if he'll get charged with securities fraud?

I am excitedly keeping an eye out for any tweets from Gavin today, would be nice to see one saying that he is thinking about taking BT private, at a price of 420p and that he has the funding in place. :)

I'm sure we heard Monty saying sit back relax and wait for dividend when he was in and the price was under pressure ! Now his obviously out it seems he doesn't understand people who invest and collect the dividend ! What really amazes me you thinks people don't notice you switching ! Hahaha ? he has entertainment value sure.

10.55p drop on Thursday open as it goes ex. divi.

Feeling better about these long term.
we could get back to 30p EPS over the next 2 years.(maybe 350p share price)
but investment in faster broadband and a good relationship with the regulator could lead to higher growth in the longer term.

Monty, they could be new investors who are interested in the divi (as it kinda lowers buy price by 10.55p) but they could be mainly interested in investing now that the downtrend looks like its at an end. (it had to end sometime, it's just getting the timing right that's the hard bit).

Share price still has over 30% to gain just to get it back to where it was 12 months ago. (And over 65% to gain to get it back to where it was 24 months ago.)

Been saying it for ages!
Live tv AND adverts are dead. Which is why I don’t understand Sky share price as it is purely an advertising conduit.
Good that you don’t need a tv license any more for live tv but it should be only for BBC as itv and others have adverts and don’t get a penny in licence fees. And don’t get me started on S4C!

Mbmiah. To be fair Velo said they believe that the near 3 year downward trend had been broken, if so, this will take a month or two to prove out, they didn't say that it would be 300p by midday today or anything similar? Are you waiting for a lower entry point per chance?

Aaah, you've become a chartist now lol. As you said, the recent share price action is only a blip on the 2-3 year chart. We aren't in shallow waters yet, only news and numbers will get us there.
