07/6/2018 14:50 | still waiting on the sidelines for sub £2. chart would suggest it probably will happen. all imho. got my buy order in at £1.80, lets see | creddy
07/6/2018 14:49 | When you watch GP on a results presentation and after the Q&A session with analysts, he lacks conviction, knowledge and can mumble along....does not instil confidence ! | dmf
07/6/2018 14:48 | Taxi for Gavin! | nige co
07/6/2018 14:46 | BREAKING NEWS - Sky News are reporting that Gavin Patterson was seen wearing a tie, expectations are the share price will rise 'significantly'... | toon1966
07/6/2018 14:38 | Bazza16 - have to say your comments are ludicrous. 'Always grinning' - just how many times have you met in person or seen GP on TV? Doesn't wear a tie, terrible eh? Might want to take a look at Mark Zuckerberg or Jeff Bezos, that's if you've even heard of them. | toon1966
07/6/2018 14:37 | Your right one paper called him a swashbuckling looking CEO. That's fine as long as shareprice rises.I do now think time to go and I have been the biggest supporter of GP.He lives near me, if I see a for sale go up let you know, lol. | montyhedge
07/6/2018 14:30 | Shareholders own the company and directors manage the company.Shareprice down 60% so now heads should roll. Starting with Gavin. | montyhedge
07/6/2018 14:29 | It's wrong to judge on appearance, but GP gives off the wrong vibe as a CEO to me. Always grinning, no tie, too slick (salesman type). I don't think it helps. Little things, mean a lot (and all that). Baz | bazza16
07/6/2018 14:28 | There is no such thing as over valued or under value...computers are dictating where the price goes in collaboration with charts...this is how good companies are destroyed by computer driven markets... | diku
07/6/2018 14:27 | Perhaps shareholders should start a petition, reports big boys, want a meeting with the chairman. Before the 11th July. | montyhedge
07/6/2018 14:22 | sorry guys it all sounds convincing stuff however the share price is down again. Credit to Andycapp for disclosing his holdings and his rationale. The problem is the share price is not being influenced by rationale at the moment. I will be buying some myself but not until Gavin Patterson leaves and someone with a good track record takes over. Until then it is suck it and see. | schofip
07/6/2018 14:20 | BT Group: the ‘complex and overweight’ telecoms giant | dmf

07/6/2018 13:59 | What are the chances of BT Group plc dropping below 200p per share? | dmf
07/6/2018 13:57 | Debt is manageable if EBITDA remains at £7-8bn. Best guess shares are probably worth £3-4 on sum of parts. | andycapp1
07/6/2018 13:56 | The assets are £48bn. but £15bn of that were intangibles. (often the difference between the assets of EE and the price paid to buy it) If you ignore intangibles then the net assets quoted for BT of £10.3bn, are in fact negative. Make no mistake, after consideration of debt and our 'help the aged' contribution to 300,000 pensioners, and the associated liabilities, this a is a weak balance sheet. Hence the cheap price with no serious buyers. | careful
07/6/2018 13:50 | Market wants change at the top... | diku
07/6/2018 13:49 | 1.5 billion value for mobile mask business, inherited from EE purchase. That can be sold off. | montyhedge
07/6/2018 13:47 | This is not unusual. The water companies and other utilities often have net debt greater than their market cap. I have taken the net debt number from the ADVFN financials data. In practice the positive cash flow and other current assets will reduce this at a point in time. In effect the net debt is the size of its mortgage if you think of it in buy to let terms. But there is rental income and other bits and bobs. We really could do with BT tackling this debt now. Patterson has been hung ho in buying EE and bidding for rights. Maybe he could turn out to be correct in the long run, but when a share falls 60% with little buying at these lower prices, then someone is worried about these liabilities. The institutions would be filling their boots at this price if they had confidence in the outcomes, but they are not. | careful
07/6/2018 13:47 | Bt assets at last count Bt was over 80bn. So takeaway debt and deficit leaves 50bn or £5 a share! | pacemaker1000
