07/6/2018 13:11 | P/E, cash flow and dividend yield are all excellent here. But the net debt at £32bn, gearing at eye watering levels, and the pension liabilities tend to make investors think twice. Still holding, but it is time this CEO and chairman started to preserve some cash and stop splashing it out. Anyone can spend money, but debt gets companies into trouble. They have a long slog ahead of them, I hope they have made a start. Time to sweat those assets and apply some financial discipline. The share price is a disaster. | ![]() careful

07/6/2018 11:50 | At least your in good company, chairman paid 255p for half a million pounds worth. See what the big boys do with their meeting about GP. | ![]() montyhedge
07/6/2018 11:49 | I own 65k shares bought at average of 217p odd. EV is around £40bn so £20bn equity, £11bn debt and (slightly notional) £11bn pension shortfall. Generating perhaps £7-8bn EBITDA/cash. So maybe 5.5x EBITDA. Sum of parts considerably above EV and so equity v highly geared. On balance looks cheap albeit needs catalyst. Not badly run too. That’s it. | ![]() andycapp1

07/6/2018 10:51 | Sorry toon only just saw your message. My prediction has come from many years of watching share price movements. I am sure there are technical reasons as to why this bounce and retest happens. The bounce could be shorters closing their positions. In terms of what will push the price back down again is more likely to be technical rather than logical. I guess once it goes back down it will be up to shareholders appetite for risk. There is still a lot of uncertainty with this share. | ![]() schofip |
