Yes very negative sell rec in this weeks IC.

They think they still have a "mountain of problems" to deal with

They also predict a dividend cut or being forced to 'spin out" at least one of its divisions and further negative sentiment.

Could be an interesting day tomorrow as Ofcom are set to announce the price caps on BT broadband. I think the share price will rise as it will be another problem removed (these things are perceived to have more of an effect on the business than they actually do in the end). Either way I will be adding to my position.

there could well be a lot of praying in the short term but when the current risks of the deficit and the dividend sustainability subside then BT will rise fast and hard.

Yes I think it will need patience to get to where I think the BT share price should be. I'm hoping any interest rate rises won't be too fast nor large and in any case they may cause BT to rise as higher rates may be perceived to be a positive for the pension deficit.

I wouldn't use CFD's for this but real cash. Rising interest rates will increase the cost of holding CFD's in future, lucky it's so cheap to use CFD's right now. Plus i reckon this is going to be a rather long term hold. Dividends will help cover the interest costs to a certain extent l guess....

ok no more daily predictions but I believe BT is heading up from here so I've taken the plunge and opened a sizeable Spread bet and will add to it daily whether the share price rises or falls. I'm not a chartist but I'm willing to wait for that gap to be filled between 350p and approx. 390p from Jan. 2017. I only hope the dividend isn't cut as that is needed to offset the daily funding charge. Go BT !

toon 1966, Daisy are taking Gamma, city fibre and Voda head on in the wholesale channel through BT wholesale. They have 1600 B to B resellers who supply SME and enterprise. Just reduced there prices by 10% so I can only assume the 30% uplift will get bigger IMHO

Tim - given the share price has fallen 50% in the last 2 years it's very difficult to accept BT is a 'defensive stock'.
