Was that the low folks?, Possibly.

Added at 262.6 as mentioned and then it briefly dipped below 262,
and I honestly could not bring myself to click the Buy button again,
rarely happens to me - might be the fear and loathing stage seen at lows,
or may be not!.

Every man and his dog calling the Market down and every man and his dog has a wall of cash to hit the Market on the first correction. Will fall when the last Bear has turned, still 90% to go then.

If a company disappoints they get hammered, Barc GSK example.

These better be good 2nd Nov.

My concern is that every man and his dog are calling a market correction down.BT would no doubt follow so it could go sub £2?

Brokers ratings mean nothing - they are a waste of time. I am yet to recall any that have been correct. Anyone who invests based on them is deluded.

Totally agree....I can recall when Investec put a sell on Glencore 60p about 18 to 24 months ago....sp now 373 in fact investec stated survival of GLEN in doubt as far as I can recall

Following brokers is sometimes a quick way to the poor house.

They are often uber bullish at the top, too bearish near a low point.

In a blink of an eye they can half an individual share price target, or double it.

The rational behind a specific call can be interesting to read,
but the price targets are a little like Chinese fortune cookies, or reading a horoscope IMV.

Expected a recovery today, most stocks that got hammered yesterday have. Says a lot about current BT sentiment. Still time left today, the darkest hour and all that.

why do you fuss about the divi.
Buffetts Berkshire Hathaway has never paid one.
What matters is profit, cash flow, prospects and assets.
Some companies pay out dividends that are uncovered by profits by increasing debt.

next week I shall be looking at the profit and prospects.
that is what really matters.

I think everyone knows the results will be garbage again - so, unfortunately, expect a further tumble to 220/30 next week. Long, long way back to 300 - next year before we see it again. I would be happy with a significant divi cut to help address issues over the next 5 years.

One of my worst days in a long time. Heavy falls with BT, CNA, NG and GSK. Position here is reasonably small and I increased it a bit today, so is now in top 10. GSK hurt the most.
