25/10/2017 19:26 | Interim results - 2nd NOV BT Group PLC [BT.A] | neilyb675
25/10/2017 17:34 | A lot of companies earning chiefly in pounds bucked the trend today. Thought BT might have moved against the tide on good GDP stats. In view of that, one of BT shares' worst days for a while. | stewart64
25/10/2017 17:21 | Monty, there's not much love for him atm!!. As with Andwew Witty at GSK, who never quite recovered from the China scandal, GP may not recover from Italy. His days are probably numbered, and would say one more slip and he's toast. | essentialinvestor
25/10/2017 17:16 | EssIf they cut Gavin would have to fall on he's sword, fund managers would be after he's blood. | montyhedge
25/10/2017 17:14 | Agree wllmherk though I'm sitting on a much greater loss, though BT is my smallest holding. Just wonder where the share price will be in five years!! | toon1966
25/10/2017 17:12 | I would take the opposite view, a say 30% cut would be supported imv, all be it you may get an initial drop. One factor the market hates above all others is uncertainty. Better a lower payout that looks more secure, than a higher one that does not. | essentialinvestor
25/10/2017 17:08 | I suspect they will hold the dividend toon, otherwise this will tank a fair bit further. Thought I was doing well buying in at 294p, nursing a near 10% fall. If divi is maintained I'm happy to await recovery, if not, I'm out. wllm | wllmherk
25/10/2017 17:02 | I could be wrong but BT did state at the last quarter update that they would retain a 'progressive' divided policy, with the current-year increase to be lower than the 10% previously targeted. | toon1966
25/10/2017 16:41 | Struggle to see the upside in CNA tbh, but good luck. | essentialinvestor
25/10/2017 16:39 | fingers crossed Andy :) wllm | wllmherk
25/10/2017 16:38 | I think they would be stupid to cut the dividend, as thats pretty much the only thing holding the share price from falling completely. Just need a fairly solid set of results with no more skeletons and that should be the bottom. | andy84uk
25/10/2017 16:29 | Starting to hurt, BT.A by far and away my biggest holding, second is CNA, not good on either but, I am surprised at the scale of the share price collapse here. I really hope results next week are positive or I'm going to have to avoid discussing our investments with Mrs wllmherk. A cut in the dividend will cause the share price to decline even further, so I hope its maintained. wllm ps I thought these stocks were supposed to be defensive ???????? | wllmherk
25/10/2017 16:13 | Somebody has leaked something over a liquid lunch, city wide boys eh, playing with real people pensions | 1224saj
25/10/2017 16:09 | Downgraded today to Hold, but target price reduced to 265p, to me thats another word for Sell. My forecast for 2018 if they mess with the dividend is 195p. If they increase then 310p. | montyhedge
25/10/2017 16:01 | brokers note for October, 5 out 4 more then £3.10 www.hl.co.uk/shares/ | funkey n
25/10/2017 16:00 | I don't like seeing anyone losing on a trade, we've all been there. Wish him the best. I've never used any type of margin, I'm sure some can make it work but prefer the quiet life myself. | essentialinvestor
25/10/2017 15:45 | Metalsguru may be too busy with 'big bubba'..... | toon1966
25/10/2017 15:40 | Brokers still looking for metalsguru's stop then :@( | colonelgrim
25/10/2017 15:21 | Yeilds continuing to climb, one positive response the pension deficit. It's global services and the Italian division may be the worry imv, UK consumer side hopefully ok. | essentialinvestor
25/10/2017 15:21 | I wonder if Monty would like to define 'decent'.....? | toon1966
25/10/2017 15:16 | Bears target price must be 245p-250p I would have thought. Down to figures if decent, then bounce, if disappoint then hammered. Simple really, lol. Essential At least one of my potential ten baggers, hit a new high today Scisys Plc. | montyhedge
25/10/2017 15:12 | Wish i could share your confidence. 2.6528 my lowest buy. Would add in quantity around here, but cannot discount some new nasty on results, hopefully not. | essentialinvestor
25/10/2017 15:09 | Then go ahead and buy, buy, buy kMann......or is that bye, bye, bye.... | toon1966
25/10/2017 15:07 | Could be a superb buy from here. | kmann
25/10/2017 14:56 | GSK should have rebased the dividend, the new CEO had an ideal opportunity on the Q1 update. BT might be wise to cut by 30% imv. | essentialinvestor |
