25/10/2017 13:32 | todays planted story in the telegraph is an old story been running for a while. BT receives HMG subsidies to ensure that remote rural areas have fast broadband. probably not a cost effective investment for a private company without some sort of aid. I understand that this has been challenged in the past but defeated in the European courts. Rules were not deemed to be broken. Just ahead of the results, you have to admire those that put this stuff out. Kills sentiment. Always suspect the motive. | careful

25/10/2017 13:03 | DMF - you seem to be working yourself into a real tizzy over the fall in BT's SP, using words such a rapid, swift, downward, capitulation, catalyst and cut. Why don't you go and have lie down like a good chap? | toon1966
25/10/2017 12:58 | Perhaps Q2 will be a chance to put the Italian affair behind it and move on. As with a share that gains has to prove itself with its results, a share that fallen will have to do the opposite. In line results or better will send this substantially imo | dr biotech

25/10/2017 00:03 | 'Rural broadband deal under threat as Government talks with Openreach hit legal problems' A proposed £600m deal between the Government and BT’s network subsidiary Openreach to deliver superfast broadband to 1.4 million rural homes faces legal hurdles. It is understood that legal advisers have raised concerns that a voluntary offer from Openreach could be challenged in the courts as unfair state support. | philanderer
24/10/2017 14:32 | DMF - which 'free platforms' are you talking about? I'm sure if someone company/entity were broadcasting free Premier League/Champions League games in the UK then BT/Sky/UEFA/Premier League would take action. Remember BT Sport has the sole UK rights to the Champions League. | toon1966 |
