24/7/2024 07:22 | I don’t think this can stay this low for much longer apropos the recent substantial director purchases,, and Simon Cawkwells comments. | gripfit
18/7/2024 00:03 | Quite interesting the revamp of the financial services platform. Seems to be heading more along the Klarna line of things.. with pay later and customer loyalty offers. Quite something that this was in the high hundred millions cap back before covid, with similar revs, profit and debt, and still below the 59p funding few years back where Alliance family were taking it. Transformational changes in the biz seems to be the buzzword they like :-) | smackeraim

16/7/2024 21:16 | 'Two members of the Alliance family have popped up today as each having acquired 1m N Brown (BWNG) at 20p. Quite why the shares are unchanged this morning I have no idea. BWNG have openly disclosed that they are doing well. Where there is an interesting trading position lies in Shein seeking to list in London. This is irritating the sillies – hence the delays in this listing. What Britons seem not to know is that by breaking up deliveries from abroad into parcels below £135 no Vat is payable eventually by a British customer. This is an absurdly favourable advantage to Shein. This is by no means the silliest anomaly. Treating customers visiting from Dubai as if they are in the same categorisation as domestic customers means that the Dubai lot go and buy goods on the Continent. This nonsense has been going on for at least two years.' | mirabeau

14/6/2024 12:43 | UK interest rates are not coming down anytime soon, consumer confidence remains weak, and cash strapped households are buying new clothes from SHEIN and TEMU or buying second hand clothes from VINTED or DEPOP. | sellhighandbuylow |
