300k buy @ 20p just before the closing bell today. Assuming Alliance and co. are subject to the closed period then possibility that the buyer was Frasers Group or associates. If that's the case then the FG + Monecor holding is inching ever closer to the 25% needed to block any special resolutions.

I don't think they are in a hurry to take it private they've been in a position to take it over for years. It's the AIM listing due to tax planning reasons their entire family pretty much own it now.

If they aren't going to sell - they need to bring in a decent yield to up the share price They 'considered' a divi last year - but understandably didn't pay one for the time-being. But in 2019 they paid out 11.24p - and 7.01p in 2020. Obviously, earnings enabled these payments - but it does help give an idea of the possibilities from this level.
