I guess you wouldn't do too much of it as it increases your gearing, and they will need the gearing headroom to invest when they feel there is better value. The £300m share buyback sort of implies that management don't think they can find anything of value to invest in, but they are now raising the same amount of debt? Is it just to pay for the share buyback perhaps? £300m of shares would cost around £15m per year in dividends, this bond will cost £7m per year so the two together will boost profit by £8m a year.... | jmc43 | |
