hello SKYSHIP why seemingly inevitable sell-off?..

The shares are 30% below NAV and share price highs

Yes, tempted to have another go; but increasingly concerned about the timing of the seemingly inevitable sell-off.

Though the concensus on that inevitability perhaps suggests it won't happen at all!

All too difficult at the moment...

I think a combination of things.

1. Risk off in relation to Korea worth about 10pts
2. Recent economic data suggests inflation may not go any higher
3. Brexit position of customs union. The market likes certainty. Over the last week the Tories have begun to agree with themselves and publish their intentions. Perhaps some view that things aren't going to be as bad as perceived, perhaps even we will Brexit but something gets designed which is pretty close to the trade we have now.

I am in a quandary. The Spreabet trade from 605.5 I closed at 618.0, so I can re-open again if it does go down which I think it won't. I have another trade from 609 which I had planned to be short term and close at 623 but I'm now thinking of holding longer term. Deffo going to keep the ones which start with a 5 until I can get something beginning with a 8 or 9.

This move away from the 605-617 area looks very powerful to me. There's not much selling going on today suggest that those that hold have a high level of conviction in their position

tbh I'm not sure why any investor would want to sell this stock with the size of the buy-back going on. Ok, I understand that spending buying back the shares reduces their cash balance and therefore assets but that's alot they are buying back over the next 6-12 months depending on what speed they go at.

I've got some post Brexit from 5.42 and 5.78 and two more lots recently from 6.08 and 6.06. I'll trade out one lot from the 6.08 area at around 6.23 and if it goes higher great and if not maybe I'll get the chance to buy them back agai.

Edit: If you like this sector INTU looks an even better trade to me.

Look at the buy back number on Friday, nearly 400,000 shares.

Added just below 610 Friday, could have timed that better in fairness,
and will again on any significant dips.

hmm - price movement this morning is odd. Moving up from a depressed price on Friday but on high volume. 500k traded in the first hour is much higher than usual and the buys are still piling in.

It's starting to look to me that the share buyback running day after day doing about 200-250k shares a day which is somewhere between 5-10% of the shares traded is starting to make a difference as it seems to be bouncing quicker off the turning point and then setting up a decent intraday buy trend line

When the market isn't interested is a company with a 4.8% dividend and a £300m share buy-back program there's nothing you can do but wait for a change in outlook.

The dividend isn't at risk. Indeed it seems probable it will continue to rise at a faster pace than inflation.

On that basis I'm happy to hang around and collect my 4.8% and wait as long as it takes. Presumably until some Brexit stuff is clarified.

Of course it may go lower yet but I would guess that without some external shock the dividend will support the price regardless of the economic outlook.

Sometimes the low risk boring stocks are the place to be long term. Good chance of a 50% upside over the next 3 years whilst collecting some dividends.

I have INTU as well

Questor also had Sell a couple of months back, from memory.

I think about everyone accepts there are multiple uncertainties,
from an investment stance you try to acess whether the current discount to NAV
allows for this.

Yup saw the comment and the 2007 v 2017 anology being drawn on again.

Going in to 2007 I can remember very little sector caution, now there
is a bucket load on many UK focussed REITS.
