Sunak's flagship anti-smoking bill 'set to be dropped in pre-election wash-up' In his speech outside No 10 yesterday Rishi Sunak included his bill to plan to stop anyone 15 or younger ever being able to buy cigarettes legally in his list of government achievements. “We will ensure that the next generation grows up smoke free,” he said.
But the bill – which, arguably, was set to be Sunak’s most significant legislative achievement – won’t become law before the election, Jason Groves from the Mail reports. He says it won’t be passed in the “wash-up”; – the process that involves non-contentious legislation being rushed through parliament ahead of the election. |

I use H/L , the account is automatically frozen after 3 attempts. I usually stop on the second and use the phone to contact them.
If you transfer your account all assets are sold before transfer most times. On a platform for trading Trading 212 use the ISA App that way, they can not trade your shares to others for shorting and do not click the 5.2 part as your not covered by the FCA £85,000 protection scheme.
On information, H/L covers most bases ETF/Funds/Trusts/Bonds/Shares, etc. I trade on Trade 212 for free trades.

ii have been quick to answer when I've needed to 'phone them. |
Also aj a s your phone straight away. |
They offer 3.9% on sipp based on 100k cash plus. Isa maximum 2.75% . Both depends on under 10k, under 100k and over 100k basis |
Do they pay 3.75% on cash balances, accrued daily, paid monthly. Ii do. |
They unfreeze ac now . But did not like their bullying and delaying tactics. Not at all helpfull to take responsibility for technical problems at their end. |
I mean Aj bell |
Sorry - I have been with HL for 25+ years. So used to website which I like.I am sure I am paying more than need to but the convenience and not wanting to look elsewhere has kept me tied to them. I should really look around |
Spoken to them and AJ Bell. II have fixed fees and AJ don't. Hence decided to go with them. |
I also like Int Inv for my SIPP although I don't 'trade' much - I invest for dividends.
There is one software fault I have identified on the ii website and I've informed ii about it - several months ago. It is still unfixed.
If you are logged-in yet inactive on your SIPP their system warns you after a period of time that you have a couple of minutes (counting down on display) to select to remain connected. If you choose that option and then attempt to view via the Account option (person icon on top right) the Document History it will show a blank screen. You need to log out and login again to then successfully view the Doc. History through the Account Icon. Annoying but not life threatening but the failure of ii to fix this after 4 months is, in my professional opinion as a half-decent programmer for 40 years, unacceptable. Shows a lack of respect to their customers.
I've just 'secure messaged' ii again about this fault. Interesting to see how long it takes to fix. Already 5 months. |
