I've bought back those I sold yesterday,I'll keep the difference and my ave is looking much better now. |
I bought a final small tranche in the 2270's to give me a round number holding. Fully loaded here now. Slightly overweight, if anything. Will look to trim a few if (hopefully when!) we see 26's again. Then hold the remainder for late 28's and take a view at that point. My original TP feels a long way off right now, so might adjust it down a touch, but that is a reflection for late next year at the earliest, in all probability. GLA. |
Yield over 10% and interest rates falling. |
I thought around 2250p, but like you said 57.72p in the isa tax free bag. |
PE always need an exit strategy after loading the company with debt required to pay for the asset. it's not obvious how they could pile more debt in to BAT or who would be mug enough to take it from them in five years' time. PE a total non-starter here. |
£1 drop tomorrow I reckon...but divi income is what I seek. |
Well, the BOD better deliver on their plans then. Only way to break the long term trend here, IMO. Generally not a fan of PE activity, FWIW, but everything has its price and if the right offer were to come in, then I would not care who the buyer was. Hardly a case of morality or ethics when talking about stocks, lol. But I take the point about the cost potentially being too significant for PE. |
2275 I'm looking at retirement divi lol |
The share price will get hit tomorrow probably and will retest the 52 week low and may drift lower still until the finals in February.Prepared for the shorters to still have fun here but that's the markets for you.Strong stomachs needed here after the year we've had.Merry Christmas everyone! |
Closed this, nice trade from the lows after update traded to the ex divi date tomorrow... Happy Xmas all... good luck LTH |
bats too big for PE. Enterprise value must be £100bn.
Stayed in. Very happy if stays over 2300 tomorrow. |
Hell no I don’t want private equity to steal my stocks for a low price. |
PE might be a good fit in this case actually. Less regulatory meddling (to a point) and still likely to be highly cash generative for years yet IMO. Even allowing for all the noise, as well as the genuine sector headwinds. What price would tempt shareholders here though I wonder? Would 32 quid sway enough of the key players to get such a deal done? It would suit me, FWIW :) |
Back in the wedge again still not in recovery mode... |
The market is discounting a major cut in dividend.
Hopefully, we get a few more good years. |
I reckon 2250p to 2275p. One thing with Spring now over 10% they should put someone on the board. |
Monty...am holding. 2300 tomorrow would be amazing.
Can't see it. May test 2200 again. |
If they can hold 2300p tomorrow ex div I think a not a bad result. |
Well that's a surprise. |
Well Spring Mountain in the Caymans keep buying up the shares ...
Maybe PE will take this over at some point |
No real appetite here to move up before xd. I am sitting on my hands here and holding tight for the mid/long term and collecting my juicy divis. This is an investment for me. Not working out too well at the moment but we will see. Will be good to see this reach a base. At the minute it looks like it may fall futher to me |
Cassini thanks for that
In the absence of any rhyme or reason in these markets still trying to get a feel for how to position
My instinct in light and against all the positive thoughts is to stick to cash until I see more direction
Lgen seems to have hit the wall at theses levels in line with my amateur algorithm But then so has everything else
Will sit and wait for the catalyst but not inclined to buy anything yet even though dividends seem unbelievably generous
Good luck |
MC: Is this a quiz anhar?
My guess is Woodford. 🙃
Not a quiz, just an interesting very old scam on the theme of share price predictors, long before the internet.
Woodford may have turned out to be a poor investor but he is not a crook. |
